Gathering a few of her celebrity friends the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star collected turkeys, canned foods, and other holiday items to help those in need prepare a Thanksgiving meal for their families.
Hosting the fundraiser in conduction with My Fair Sweets Bakery, guests purchased items from a specially-crafted desserts menu with a portion of the proceeds going towards Kandi C.A.R.E.S. single parent programs.

Guests were also asked to bring a turkey or non-perishable food item as a donation, the collections would also go to single parent programs. Kandi herself was a single mother to daughter Riley, and grew up without much of a relationship to her father Titus after he and Mama Joyce divorced (amid her starting crazy accusations that he was cheating). Todd’s father died when he was a child and he was raised by his mother Sharon.
Kandi Cares regularly does donation drives to to collect school supplies, household items and toiletries, diapers, clothes, toys and books, and food to help single parents in need. “Kandi Cares is dedicated to providing Education, Empowerment & Enrichment to the lives of single parents, and children who are the product of single parent homes,” the foundations website states.
Kandi Cares is a 501c-3 non-profit so if you’d like to donate or you are in the Atlanta area and want to volunteer at one their drives you can find information through the website, kandicares.org. They also host a summer camp. The program strives to help children of single parents, 1/4 of whom live below poverty level, break the cycle and avoid falling prey to a statistic.
It does not appear that any of the RHOA stars came out to support or donate Kandi’s cause!
Odd that we never hear about any of their good works – of which they do many – on RHOA while instead we get amped up and jacked up drama about NeNe Leakes‘s charity Saving Our Daughters. I would think RHOA would like to promote the good works of Kandi’s organization and show the Housewives working together to bring positive change. We also rarely hear of Porsha Williams‘ family foundation, a legacy of her grandfather Hosea Williams, which runs a massive cooperative food bank.
