Real Housewives Of New York is back and boasting a brand-new, completely the same, Bethenny Frankel! The exciting and dynamic preview below demonstrates this season is far from boring, but instead features glamour, personal dramas, and is filled with friction, but not of the manufactured kind.
Joining the show will be new Housewife Dorinda Medley, a good friend of Ramona Singer (Dorinda is giving me a whiff of Kim D – with real money!). The very wealthy socialite deals with dating dramas, daughter dilemmas, and learning to play well with others.
Speaking of dealing, Bethenny is still dragging that deadweight of a therapist around by a tether while pretending she’s actually in therapy, while Ramona finally gets real and confronts the staggering reality of Mario’s affair and her impending divorce.
LuAnn de Lesseps, who has dropped The Countess schtick and embraced her inner harlequin, is back as a full-time Housewife. Plus, Sonja Morgan comes to the shocking realization that she is no longer the fabulous Mrs. Morgan, but a hot mess.
The ladies travel to Turks and Caicos for a drama-filled vacation that has boy dramas (hopefully no adolescent pirate shenanigans) along with Heather Thomson and LuAnn getting into it when Heather tries to be the Vacation Nazi! There is also plenty of product placement. Heather and Bethenny also have issues over being the HBIC and who is the better businesswoman of the two. Yikes.
Also returning this season are Kristen Taekman, who continues to work on her marriage, and Carole Radziwill, who takes the painful steps to finally move past her husband Anthony’s death.
Good lord – I am excited! This season certainly seems to have plenty of real drama, which I hope the producers don’t muddle up with fake staging and nonsense drama.
