Vicki Gunvalson Talks Brooks Ayers Living with Her; Says She Will Mend Friendship with Tamra Judge!

The Real Housewives of Orange County - Season 10

As season 10 veteran on the Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki Gunvalson is well versed in the ups and downs of reality television. As a twice-divorced woman who’s had to pay both ex-husbands off post-marriage, she is also not adverse to fiercely protecting her assets when it comes to her new living arrangement with Brooks Ayers – even if it means getting a lawyer involved!

In her Bravo blog, Vicki explains the reasons behind, and terms of, her cohabitation agreement with Brooks. “I have been divorced twice, and both times I had to pay my husband’s off,” she explains, adding, “I never received child support with my first marriage, and with my 2nd marriage I had to pay Donn alimony. This way, I am protected if my relationship doesn’t work out with Brooks. We have a legal binding agreement that my divorce attorney drafted, and Brooks signed without any hesitation. This eliminates any miscommunication in a relationship once you put it all out there about what your expectations are, it’s one less thing to worry about.  It’s a pre-nup without the ‘nup’.”

The stress of daughter Briana’s continued hatred of Brooks is something Vicki says she has to deal with every day, though. Citing that Briana’s feelings about Brooks are still “really hard” for Vicki to deal with, she maintains that letting Brooks move into her home was ultimately the best decision for her. Vicki shares, “Briana is my primary concern however we have to ‘agree to disagree’ on this one subject. I love her so much, but there comes a time when I have to live for me, and not her. She has her home and her family now and I have to find my ‘new normal’ with her being gone too.”

As for her “new normal” with sworn bestie turned sworn enemy Tamra Judge, Vicki says things are headed in a more positive direction on RHOC this season. Vicki even shares the blame for their friendship falling apart last year, dismissively commenting, “Of course we were both at fault. I am very sensitive and don’t even remember why we ended on a bad note last year.”

Vicki adds that “the viewers will see this year that we do mend our friendship. I love and care for Tamra and will always be there for her, as long as she is ‘nice’ to me. :)” Well, she may be asking for a miracle there!
