Shannon-Beador-Family-Hawaii-Real-Housewives-of-Orange-County-001

Shannon Beador is living it up in Hawaii with her family, posting this photo on Instagram just yesterday. Before relaxing on vaycay though, Shannon took some time to reflect about this week’s Real Housewives of Orange County, particularly taking issue with those of us out here who have “criticized” her for the negativity she’s brought to TV screens across the country this season.

Beginning with her take on Heather Dubrow’s luncheon, Shannon admits, “Arguing always puts a pit in my stomach. The tail end of Vicki [Gunvalson] and Meghan [Edmonds’] argument at Heather‘s new home was very uncomfortable. I’m not sure that the luncheon table was the most appropriate place to bring up the topic of Brooks and his illness, but Meghan definitely has a pattern for saying what’s on her mind when she wants to say it.” Siding with Vicki about keeping one’s nose out of other peoples’ medical records, Shannon empathizes, “I understand why Vicki is upset because the idea is so preposterous.”

Confessing her undying love for Dr. Moon, Shannon explains, “Although some of the muscle testing and concepts that he talks about may seem unconventional, he really knows what he is doing! It’s no secret that I have been quite emotional over the past year and I’ve had a lot of ups and downs. Emotions can absolutely affect you physically and Dr. Moon helps keep mine in check!” But the existential question remains: if Shannon makes angry eyes at the clouds, but the clouds are not filming her on a reality show, will David still leave her? #newagebybravo

Getting to the heart of the matter in her blog, Shannon expresses her frustration with the not-so-hot commentary she’s been receiving about how she’s “working through” her marriage on camera this year. She shares, “most of you have been so supportive of my emotional highs and lows as I go through the healing process with David and I am incredibly grateful for your kind messages. There have also been some who have criticized me for not getting over things in a snap or for acting negatively. You are all seeing me a few months after my husband unequivocally committed to our marriage. I am doing the best I can. I chose to fight for my marriage and that shows strength. I deserve the time I need to heal. End of story.”

Shannon also doesn’t understand why people don’t see her as the natural born “rocker” she claims to be! “I always love a theme party! I was a little confused with my commentary — while I am a ‘rocker’, I’m not quite sure what that has to do with dressing sexy!” quips Shannon. If sexy means a cheesy lace jumpsuit and brittle old hair extensions on grandma, then count me out. Shannon, though, aspires to such heights, gushing that “Maybe someday with a million booty classes at CUT Fitness, I can have something close to her [Tamra Judge’s] amazing figure!”

What went down at Tamra’s sex party was, in short, typical for the RHOC ladies. But Shannon claims she was “surprised” by the scene between Vicki and Meghan Edmonds. (Really? Are you new here, Shannon!?) She confesses, “the most perplexing portion of the evening to me was the confrontation between Vicki and Meghan. I will say again that I understand how Vicki is upset that a damaging allegation is now out in the public that Brooks may not be sick and I empathize with her. Then when Meghan and Jim approached Vicki and I, I tried to bring that point across to defend my friend.”

Shannon does admit that the OG of the OC may have gone a wee bit too far in lashing out at Meghan about her marriage, though. Shannon argues that when “Vicki steered the conversation to their marriage, and as much as I’ve had my own issues with Meghan in the past, I just don’t think that was right.”

TELL US: DO YOU THINK SHANNON IS BEING UNFAIRLY CRITICIZED FOR HER NEGATIVITY THIS SEASON? DID VICKI GO TOO FAR IN ATTACKING MEGHAN’S MARRIAGE?
