The last person on Vanderpump Rules that I expect to cause drama is Scheana Marie Shay’s husband Mike Shay. Yes, I recall that he had some issues with substance abuse during the last season, but the man is far from a shit stirrer. With that said, I was pretty shocked by the rumors that Shay fell off the wagon, left Scheana, and took her money.
Not that I really feel like I know much about Shay since he is barely on the show, but it just seemed like such a wild story. Now, he is setting the record straight.

After such a wild rumor story spread like wild fire, Shay felt compelled to clear the air with a post on his Instagram page. He posted a photo of himself, reading a newspaper in what I assume was his way of verifying the date the photo was taken with a caption for clarification.
Shay declared, “I am not missing. I am sober. I am Happy!!! Don’t believe everything you read.”
Shay also said, “I love my wife and will always love my wife. Whatever is going on between us will stay between us! I love my family and my family loves me and a lot of things have been said out is protection and anger by many people. I just ready for the next chapter in my life!” The grammar got a little shaky in that last sentence, but specifics aside, the point he is trying to make is that none of the stories out there about him are true.
I don’t blame him for defending himself, but I’m still curious about where this all came from. You know what they say, “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” There’s obviously something to the origination of the story. Sure, it is possible that it was just a complete fabrication, but it seems like the story is shut down- for now at least. I wonder if this will be touched upon during the Vanderpump Rules reunion?
