The Southern Charm cast members are used to weathering storms. Usually they’re storms of a dramatic nature, but this time there is an actual hurricane that they are trying to escape.
As Hurricane Florence ramps up and heads ashore, plenty of cast members fled to safety and made fun trips out of escaping the Charleston, North Carolina area.
According to an article from E! News, about 1 million people have been ordered to evacuate their homes before the storm is expected to make landfall on Friday.
Kathryn Dennis posted a photo from Nashville, writing, “I am in LOVE with Nashville. Thank y’all much for the hospitality during this terrible hurricane & evacuation. My prayers and thoughts and love to the East Coast #hurricaneflorence.”
Shep Rose went and traded in Charleston for Chicago. Shep posted, “Had a revealing and hopefully positively transformative day at @bettinardigolf headquarters in Chicago getting fitted for a custom putter. Brought @katiekearney along, i think they like her better despite my lethal accuracy. The guys there are now taking us to a Cubs game. #letsplayone more baseball post to come.” He even added the hashtag “#bestevacuationever.”
Austen Kroll revealed, “While I’ve Evac’ed home to Charlotte, I’ve rummaged the house for an old book to read, and stumbled upon a little light reading. Old family friends gave me this book in ‘96 to read to baby @kt_kroll ! Can she claim to be a 90’s kid?”
Southern Charm matriarch Patricia Altschul did not evacuate the city. She shared, “House on lockdown….shutters wired over plywood, generator inspected, pool water lowered, cars in parking garage, all supplies bought, pets accounted for…. bring it on #hurricaneflorence #southerncharm.”
