There have been far worse insults in Real Housewives history than Kelly Dodd referring to Shane Simpson as a “dork” and a “twerp.” I’m not denying how entertaining it was to see Kelly yelling at Emily Simpson’s husband, but the cast members have said much worse on this show. In fact, there have been far worse insults in Kelly Dodd’s personal history on RHOC. Did we all forget about Kelly calling Heather Dubrow the “C” word during her first season or when she brought up Tamra Judge’s strained relationship with her daughter during the Ireland trip? Kelly has gone very far with the insults. This spat with Shane was mere child’s play in comparison.
Nevertheless, Emily jumped in to defend her man and told Kelly she would “kill her.” Other than that, Emily doesn’t really have a ton of drama to resolve with other cast members during the Season 13 reunion. Or at least that’s what it seems like based on the episodes up until this point.
Kelly opened up about the RHOC Season 13 reunion during an interview with Decider. She revealed, “Emily came after me, ‘You did this, you said this,” and I’m like, you know what? I could’ve said more. I was kinda holding back. I controlled myself a bit. I could’ve said worse.” It really could have been worse. Has Emily not seen this show? Kelly can really go in on a foe. Shane got it easy.

In that same interview, Kelly insisted that she truly didn’t remember meeting Shane earlier that night and she had no idea he was even Emily’s husband. She explained, “I met so many people inside Tamra’s house that I don’t think I was paying attention.” And I can’t even hate her for it. It was one of the most entertaining moments of the season, even though that’s really not saying much given how lackluster this year has been. Nevertheless, it’s a major improvement from Season 12, which again, is not really saying much.
Kelly teased, “Oh, you should’ve seen her at the reunion. That chick’s got rage.” Kelly continued, “I didn’t want it to feel awkward the next time I’m around that dork of a husband, or that little bitch of a husband, rather. It was necessary for me to say sorry, not that I really wanted to, but just for her sake.” Continuing to refer to Shane as a “dork” and a “little bitch” is probably not the best way to move forward, but again, I really don’t mind. Without Kelly’s antics, this season would be unwatchable.
TELL US- IS IT JUSTIFIED FOR EMILY TO “GO AFTER” KELLY DURING THE REUNION? OR IS SHE OVERREACTING? DO YOU WANT EMILY TO RETURN FOR A SECOND SEASON?
