Andy Cohen Moves Watch What Happens Live To Los Angeles To Prepare For His Son’s Birth

Andy Cohen is doing some major baby-prepping as he counts down to fatherhood. Andy first announced on December 20 on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that he is expecting a baby via surrogate.

During his announcement, the elated host stated, “Tonight, I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, a fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science — if all goes according to plan, in about six weeks time I’m going to become a father.”

I cannot express enough how much I loved Andy sharing his news surrounded by “OG” Real Housewives Ramona Singer, NeNe Leakes, Teresa Giudice, Kyle Richards, and Vicki Gunvalson. Of course, I expect the Housewives to shower his baby with expensive baby gear.

And after much speculation, Andy announced the sex of his child. ”  He shared, “It’s a boy and I got to tell you something, I cannot wait to meet this boy,” Andy gushed on-air to his co-host on CNN’s live New Year’s Eve show, and best friend, Anderson Cooper. Even though Anderson asked, Andy stayed mum on the possible names that he has chosen for his son.

According to an article from People, Andy’s baby preparation includes bringing Watch What Happens Live from New York City to Los Angeles. Andy’s son is due in early February. Starting January 14, the show will be taped in front of a small audience for 4 weeks in Los Angeles.

Andy is looking forward to the change. He said in a statement to People, “Moving the Clubhouse to L.A. is a win all the way around. There will be great guests, great energy. And I can make a 9 p.m. dinner reservation after we get off the air!”

RuPaul, Jay Leno, Judd Apatow, Anne Hathaway, Christina Aguilera, and Matthew McConaughey are among the celebrities slated to appear on the show’s L.A. episodes. This is the third time that Watch Watch Happens Live has filmed in Los Angeles.

Again, congratulations to Andy as he begins this new chapter in his life!
