Colt Johnson has a new love interest. Angela Deem seeks legal counsel about Michael Ilesanmi. Larissa Dos Santos Lima‘s future in the U.S. is in jeopardy. Andrei Castravet makes an announcement that shocks Elizabeth Potthast Castravet‘s family. Kalani Faagata asks Asuelu Pulaa  to change his priorities. Let’s get straight into the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After recap!

Colt (Las Vegas, Nevada) & his mom Debbie ex-wife Larissa (Brazil)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Season Premier Recap: What Goes Around, Comes Around

When we last saw Colt and Larissa, we witnessed a season full of explosive fights. This ultimately led to a divorce and a mugshot. Nowadays his mother, Debbie is much happier to be the queen of her castle once again. Colt and the cats are her loyal subjects. That bliss may be short lived, now that Colt has made the decision to start dating again. When his new Brazilian love interest reached out to him via social media, he jumped at the chance to talk to her.

Since leaving her marriage, Larissa has moved in with her friend, Carmen and gotten more plastic surgery than a Bravolebrity. The dethroned queen has even been forced to do manual labor cleaning toilets for community service.  That is actually a step up from from spending her days screaming at Colt and Debbie. Larissa is newly single after dumping her post-divorce rebound Eric. She claims that she now misses Colt.  Hmmm… I wonder why? Could it be because she is now worried about being deported and being left penniless?

Meanwhile, Colt is attempting to move on with his life. He flies to Chicago to meet his new girlfriend, Jess. She has only been in America for a year on a work/study visa. Jess is clearly looking for someone to help her stay. I find it hard to believe she saw Colt and found him and his man boobs irresistible, even if she does like cats. While on their date, they literally have one drink before he says “Would you like to come back to my hotel for sex.”

This date is like reading from a page from his time with his ex-wife. He doesn’t even plan on telling his best friend, also known as his mother about Jess anytime soon. I smell a standoff brewing when he finally does. Debbie isn’t about to allow another woman to come in and disrupt her life so easily.

Larissa calls her father to catch him up on her life. She informs him that Colt has cancelled her green card and she may be forced to return home. Her father supports her dreams, but also wants her to be stable for her children. Larissa will now have to pay $5,000 for her green card application if she intends to now complete it without the help of her ex. Larissa’s dad graciously agrees to give her at least half the money. I’m shocked she doesn’t already have a man lined up to help her. Someone has been funding these trips to the plastic surgeon.

Angela (Hazlehurst, Georgia) and Michael (Nigeria)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Season Premier Recap: What Goes Around, Comes Around

Many people will remember Angela as the loud mouth, cake throwing blond for her antics towards her docile fiancé, Michael.  These two have had so many issues throughout their journey, it’s a wonder that he hasn’t run away screaming yet. Currently, Angela is considering going back to Nigeria in order to get married. Previously, she refused to get married anywhere but in America. Now she is reconsidering, if she has to wait for a long period of time for a K1 Visa. Michael, take it as a sign and run for the hills. There is still time!!!!

Angela has high hopes of making a Michael’s dream of having children come true. She video calls him to inform him that she is having her first period in two years. In her mind, this is a good sign for her fertility. Umm… okay. Insert side eye here. She has recently purchased a house for her family and gives Michael a tour of where he will live when he arrives. Things go downhill quickly when Angela becomes enraged when she hears his phone ring.

According to Angela, the ring tone indicates it’s someone special who has called. After screaming accusations, she hangs up in his face. Yep, everything seems exactly the same with these two. Michael calls back to notify her, the call from his mechanic asking for his brother’s number. How in the world does he plan to survive in a house with this woman 24/7? Angela obviously doesn’t trust him.

Elizabeth (Tampa, FL) & Andre (Moldova)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Season Premier Recap: What Goes Around, Comes Around

The last time we saw Andrei he was the quintessential alpha male, except without a job. This presented several issues in their relationship because of his wife, Elizabeth’s dependence on her family. Now they have an eight month old daughter and he is a stay at home dad. Things still haven’t changed with Andrei’s dynamic with his wife’s family.  When they attend her father’s birthday, Andrei announces they plan to have a second wedding in Moldova. Elizabeth is completely shocked! This is news to her since they haven’t discussed any wedding plans in great detail.

In true Andrei fashion, he doesn’t care what anyone thinks about his proclamation. Elizabeth’s family is upset that they are only being given a month’s notice with no regard for their schedules. I’m wondering who is going to pay for this lavish wedding. It’s no secret that Elizabeth’s father has been pretty much funding their lifestyle and they can’t afford a glamorous wedding.

After leaving the party, Elizabeth confronts Andrei about giving everyone, including her short notice for their wedding. Per usual, he doesn’t want to hear anything, but an agreement. When she asks how they will be able to afford the wedding, he tells her to ask her father. Moldavian tradition is that the father of the bride funds the wedding. Elizabeth doesn’t feel comfortable asking her dad for money, but realizes resistance is futile.

Andrei reminds her that her father has paid for her sister’s weddings, so it shouldn’t be a problem. This guy is really delusional. He has never had a job in this relationship, yet dictates what everyone else should do with their money. He doesn’t want his father-in-law in their business, but doesn’t mind continuously asking him for money. Can someone inform this guy that isn’t how things work? If you want to be totally independent, that includes finances.

Kalani (Orange County, CA) and Asuelu (Samoa)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Season Premier Recap: What Goes Around, Comes Around

Kalani met Asuelu while on vacation in Samoa. She found out she was pregnant, shortly after losing her virginity and returning home. Asuelu has had issues adjusting to moving to the U.S and winning over Kalani’s over protective family. Currently, the couple is trying to manage taking care of two small children while maintaining their marriage. Kalani wants Asuelu to put aside his childish ways and step up as a father and husband. I think she may have a point. In one scene, Kalani is carrying both children from the car while Asuelu causally strolls to the door with nothing in his hands. WTF!

On top of all of their issues, Kalani’s parents have moved into their house. Asuelu feels like a child in his own home with his in-laws. Many people would tell their father –in-law to go to hell, if he came to live in your house and treated you like it was the opposite way around. This living arrangement is bound to implode very soon.

Kalani’s father has concerns about Asuelu’s maturity and how he takes care of his family. He definitely has much to learn. All he wants to do is play volleyball and relax after he comes home from his part time job. I’m sure his wife would like a break as well.
