Denise Richards’ spot on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is still warm. What I mean by that is that fans still aren’t over her hasty departure. And by fans, I mean me, specifically. I can’t remember the last time a Housewife had such promise only to fly too close to the sun. Sigh.
And much like on the latest season of RHOBH, everyone is picking a side. Too bad only Garcelle Beauvais and Dorit Kemsley seem to be in Denise’s camp. It certainly wasn’t enough to keep Denise signed on. Hell, it was barely enough to get her through the season.
Denise is admitting that much on a recent appearance on the season premiere of The Real, where Garcelle is now a co-host. People reported the deets from Denise’s interview with Garcelle and Co.
Denise told Garcelle, “it was actually a really tough decision” to leave the show. She explained, “I’ve been a fan of the show and had a lot of fun doing my first season. Obviously, my second season was very challenging.”

She continued, “You know, I went back and forth with it and at the end of the day, I decided it was time for me to move on and focus on other projects that I have. I’m glad that I did it though.”
But Denise gives credit to Garcelle for getting her through such a rough season. She told her, “Garcelle, it almost makes me want to cry. I truly could not have gotten through the season without you, honestly. She is a girl’s girl, a good friend. Your loyalty is beyond and I really could not have gotten through this season without you.”

Despite all the drama, Garcelle plans on returning, despite previously saying she would leave if Denise did. When asked about it by another co-host, Garcelle said, “Well, I did say that. I had a really great time doing the show. It’s up to Bravo but I’m definitely up for another season.”
I’m glad to hear Garcelle is still on board. I just wish Denise was too. Here’s hoping next season delivers more than just another housewife being pushed out.
