Eboni K. Williams

Eboni K. Williams Feels Like Third Wheel Filming With Ramona Singer And Sonja Morgan

The Real Housewives of New York is welcoming their first black cast member in their newest season. That’s right! Eboni K. Williams is officially joining the RHONY crew! There are other rumors that Bershan Shaw may also be joining…but we’ll have to wait and see.

For now, let’s just get excited to add a Housewife who Gizelle Bryant already stans. Giz has recently made comments that Eboni will know how to cope with the likes of Corona-Ramona Singer. And lucky us! Eboni is already sharing some thoughts on the infamous Ramona-coaster.

Glamour has shared an interview with Eboni where she started “It’s been interesting so far. [Laughs.] Overall, I would say it’s been positive. You guys will see when the show airs. These are very strong personalities.” Oh. We know.

Eboni continued her explanation and said, “I’m not telling you anything you don’t know. These women show up in their own level of dynamic auras, and I’m a force as well. You combine all of that into the gumbo pot and it makes for a lot of dynamics. But so far so good.” Snooze. Give me some dirt.

As far as her pals outside of filming? Eboni reveals, “Leah McSweeney and I have been hanging out a lot off-camera  because we have a lot of organic, natural things in common beyond our age.” Eboni added, “We come from very different backgrounds. She’s a born-and-bred New Yorker, and I’m definitely a proud daughter of the South from a single-parent background, first-generation college graduate, all kinds of stuff that make our stories very different, but there’s a lot of commonality in the way we show up and navigate this space as women.” Oh god. Are we staring down another generational divide season? Spare me.

Eboni continued, “Then there’s Luann [de Lesseps], who I’ve known casually throughout the years. We kind of found ourselves in similar social circles sometimes, and she’s great.” Aw. Lu needs some love from someone who’s not herself. She’s….earned it? Eboni also said, ” Luann is Luann. That’s been fun hanging out with her in this capacity.”

Our newest apple also shared, “I’m just meeting Ramona and Sonja [Morgan]. I call them Frick and Frack. They are a powerhouse duo in their own right. They’ve been at it for 20-plus years in terms of their relationship and their friendship with each other. So sometimes it’s a little hard to get in there when you’re the newbie, and this thing has been a well-oiled machine for long before I got here.” Oh god. It really is going to be another veteran/rookie year while Lu sits in the middle. I just know it.

Eboni continued, “Ramona and Sonja, in particular, are very, very close and that’s cool. That’s great. I love best friendships. But does it feel like a third wheel type of thing sometimes? A little bit. They have been very gracious thus far in terms of at least being open to getting to know me. I think that’s a good place to start.”

Well so far it sounds very love and light. But I have faith in our RHONY ladies to bring some drama or interest.

TELL US – DO YOU LIKE SEASONS WHERE THE CAST FEELS SPLIT BETWEEN SIDES? WILL EBONI BE ABLE TO BRIDGE THE AGE GAP WITH HER CAST-MATES? CAN ANYONE?
