It was rumored that entertainment news correspondent Alicia Quarles would be the first Black cast member on Real Housewives of New York. Then, there was speculation that Bershan Shaw would join the cast.
As of this moment, it doesn’t look like either of them will be on the show, but there is a new addition to the show that has been officially confirmed.
TMZ was the first to report that Eboni K. Williams will be on Season 13 of Real Housewives of New York. Eboni is a 37-year-old attorney and TV host who told the outlet, “NYC is filled with successful and dynamic Black women. I’m excited to join this legendary franchise as the first Black housewife. Can’t wait to share a slice of life in this city that hasn’t been seen before.”

On Instagram, Eboni wrote, “’all, Bravo messed around and gave your girl an apple…Things just got EXTREMELY interesting.”
Leah McSweeney commented with “Yesss!” Former cast member Barbara Kavovit wrote, “You’re gonna kill it!” Southern Charm cast member Madison LeCroy commented, “Beautiful!” (which makes me feel like she didn’t read the caption).
TMZ reported Bershan Shaw was passed over because they decided Eboni was “was the better fit as a full-time cast member,” but Bershan might make appearances. Can we not add two people to the cast?
