The premiere of Winter House was the perfect mix of LoverBoy-fueled drama we’d expect from a Southern Charm and Summer House mashup. There were petty arguments about rooms and a whole lot of impulsive decisions, so it’s already living up to the hype. We got to see Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover plant a few friendship seeds long before they went Instagram Official. Even though Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are on their way to the altar, they’re still finding ways to argue about Kyle’s drunken antics. And don’t even get me started on Andrea Denver AKA “The Italian. Am I blushing?
Kyle in particular had quite the debut in Vermont, and his LoverGirl didn’t hide her disappointment. If you ask Amanda, Kyle decided to get insanely drunk as a result of not automatically receiving the primary bedroom in the house. Paige and Ciara Miller were quick to snatch up the master bedroom. In the words of Kyle, Bitches Be Lame. However, he does have some regrets about how he acted the first night in the Winter House.
During the episode, Kyle wasn’t shy about his feelings regarding his own sloppy behavior. He tweeted “the embarrassment begins” when things kicked off. And it only got messier from there. Kyle was pounding LoverBoys and being passive-aggressive about the room fight, which he acknowledged on Twitter. Oh, and he turned into a total gremlin and angrily ate a salad with a wooden spoon. It wasn’t a surprise he spent the first night sleeping in various places in the house, including the couch and the floor, all while wearing a puffy ski jacket.
Kyle mentioned that he was “so embarrassed” about the entire situation. “Me lights on no one’s home: don’t touch the shittiest bed or it’s yours. Sleep by the drafty windows and then sleep on the heated bathroom floor. But pretend I actually slept on a couch come morning,” he tweeted. Yeah, sounds like typical Summer House logic.
Even though he had regrets, Kyle stood by his idea that he deserved the best room in the house. “Just to be clear: I organized the house and we got stuck with the basement playroom and a temporary wall. Sometimes I’m a diva apparently,” he tweeted. Amanda has to be DONE with listening to him complain about this room situation.
A fan tweeted that they believed Kyle pitched the show to Bravo, considering the episode highlighted his family vacations and boys’ trips to Vermont. “Exactly. I pitched the show 3 years ago. Good things take time. And work,” Kyle added. Sounds like he’s a bit of a diva more than just sometimes, but that’s part of why he’s so entertaining.
