Clare Crawley The Bachelorette

Bachelorette Clare Crawley Is A Married Woman

After multiple tries at finding love via the Bachelor franchise and at least two prior engagements, Clare Crawley has finally said “I do.”

Clare is a Bachelorette no more. She tied the knot less than four months after revealing her engagement to Mascot Sports CEO Ryan Dawkins. E! News reported that she announced the happy news on Instagram on February 2, 2023. Clare also posted photos of herself and her new husband from their wedding day. She captioned the post “Mr. and Mrs. Dawkins!”

She wanted a “very intimate” ceremony, rather than some “over the top” event. The celebration took place at the site of the couple’s first kiss in her Sacramento hometown. Clare wore a simple white dress, her hair in soft waves under a long, white veil. Ryan wore a black suit and tie, with matching sneakers.

“I think I’m not getting any younger,” the hairdresser told E! News in October 2022. Clare wanted her nuptials sooner rather than later. “And I know for a fact he’s the love of my life. And whether it’s in two months or whether it’s in two years, I’m just happy we have each other . . . Just to have him in my life has just been the biggest blessing,” she said.

Though it wasn’t her first proposal, Clare believes the one from Ryan was the most special. “We always laugh because we’re like, ‘How can you really top a Bachelor engagement?’ [But] he did,” she said.

Ryan didn’t only propose the one time, either. “He proposed to me [in Las Vegas],” Clare shared on the Almost Famous podcast on October 2022. “Then we came back to Sacramento and he — this makes me want to cry every time — he asked my mom [who is battling Alzheimer’s] for her blessing again and got down on a knee again, and in front of my mom proposed to me again, so she can be there for it, which is super sweet,” she added. That’s pretty sweet for sure. That’s a thoughtful man.

Clare didn’t have much long term success within the Bachelor franchise, even though they gave her at least five chances at love. Before her turn as The Bachelorette (where she left in episode 4, engaged to Dale Moss), the Sacramento native came in as the runner-up on Season 18 of The Bachelor starring Juan Pablo Galavis (arguably one of the WORST Bachelors in the entire franchise). Clare also appeared on Seasons 1 and 2 of Bachelor in Paradise. You may recall she famously had a heart-to-heart on camera with a raccoon. She also appeared on Bachelor Winter Games. She got engaged to fellow contestant Benoit Beauséjour-Savard at the show’s finale, but the pair split just a couple of months later.

Clare alluded to all that past drama in an Instagram post. “I wanted to give up. But I didn’t. Before long, my steps became a run, and my tears became belly laughs,” she wrote. “You never know what is on the other side of those dark nights. Don’t give up.”
