Breakups suck, no matter if you are a normie or a Real Housewives star. Whether you saw it coming or it came clear out of the blue, ending a relationship can be emotionally draining, proving it is called a breakup because it is broken. A few Bravo personalities have surprised fans after announcing their split from their significant other. These relationships looked like they would last the test of time. However, it seems the hourglass ran out before they ever really got a chance.

Dorinda Medley, the star of the Real Housewives of New York City, has had a rough road to love after losing her late husband, Richard Medley. The Berkshire lady of leisure did find love again in a drycleaning angel named John Mahdessian. However, not everyone found his rough around-the-edges way so likable. After years of dating, the two decided to go their separate ways, showing that endings are painful.

The couple spent seven years together, and while there was no major falling out, Dorinda and John just grew apart. In 2020, Dorinda spoke with People, telling readers, “I love John, and I’ll always love John. There’s no big fight. We love each other. I’m just doing a little reset.” Dorinda is still single three years on.

Even though we couldn’t always handle the Singer Stinger, viewers never thought Mario Singer would grow tired of his marriage to Ramona Singer. The two often attended parties together, and Mario would even serenade his wife.

The love between the two felt so real it shocked the system when it was revealed that Mario had been cheating on the real estate mogul with a woman 30 years his junior. The couple split in 2014 but have since worked on their parenting relationship with daughter Avery. Even though they are no longer married, Mario and Ramona still make time for one another and can be caught out on the town every so often.

Knowing what we know now about the disgraced attorney, it makes sense why Erika Jayne decided to split from her former husband. However, at the time of the announcement, which was election day, the move came out of nowhere, stunning Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers. The announcement came shortly before it was revealed that Tom Girardi allegedly embezzled funds from the Lion Air crash victims.

During a June 2021 RHOBH episode, Erika revealed more information during her confessional. “I left because he pushed me further and further out,” she said. “The conversations that I used to have were now reduced down to a sentence or two. I just kept walking around that house and knowing that this marriage was headed down a really sh*t path, I had to make a choice to do what was right for me. I couldn’t live that way anymore.”

It looked like Bethenny Frankel finally found her happily ever after when she met Jason Hoppy. Unfortunately, the relationship soured quickly. The couple married in 2010, only to separate two years later in 2012. The couple were given a spinoff, Bethenny Ever After, which showed how their fights would escalate. The arguments would devolve into tense silence and end with Jason walking away.

Communication was hard for the couple, which was proven by their eight-year divorce. Bethenny has been very open about her failed relationship, sharing she married out of fear, via ET. Bethenny noted, “Later on, your Mom likes them, your friends are all getting married, your head gets involved, you love having sex with a person, that’s your heart or something else getting involved. That’s why I wrote the book I Suck at Relationships So You Don’t Have To – because I wasn’t making a decision out of truth, I was making a decision out of fear.”

The Gone with the Wind fabulous star took years to settle down, as Kenya Moore searched for the right man. The former beauty pageant contestant shocked fans after announcing she had eloped with Marc Daly in 2017 to the sunny island of St. Lucia.

However, the marriage was short-lived, as the split came two years later. Fans will recall Marc spent a lot of time in NYC with Kenya back in the ATL—all the time apart did not help them keep that loving feeling.
