Even though she’s headed back to our TV screens on the Vanderpump Rules spinoff, Kristen Doute isn’t at BravoCon this year.
“We are not going to BravoCon,” Kristen said November 1 on her Sex, Love, and What Else Matters podcast. “You might have heard some rumors about the new television show that has not been [officially] announced. And if it has not been announced, then it will not be announced at BravoCon. That’s the best way I can word it for you.”
Most likely, due to the non-announcement of her new show, which has already finished filming, Kristen will not be there. “We have no reason to go to BravoCon at this particular point in time,” she said. Alrighty then. Thanks for clearing that up. ‘Cause I don’t think anybody was actually worried about it.
What we know about the spinoff
Back in March 2023 when Scandoval first broke, Kristen appeared on an episode of VPR in a show of support for Ariana Madix during her traumatic split from Tom Sandoval. If you’ve watched the show as long as I have, you’ll remember that Tom is also Kristen’s ex. They dated from 2007 to 2013, prior to his relationship with Ariana.
A couple of months later, news broke that Kristen, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright had signed onto a new reality series, a spinoff of VPR. The show will reportedly follow a group of friends as they outgrow their younger, partying days and settle into adult life and parenthood in the San Fernando Valley. Kristen’s current boyfriend Luke Broderick is expected to be included in the cast as well.
While specifics of the show aren’t yet available, Jax and Brittany were spotted filming alongside former VPR co-stars Scheana Shay and Lala Kent this past summer.
“It is fully happening,” Lala shared on Amazon Live in July. “It is so weird that they have a show and they aren’t on our show … We are all best friends, and we should be filming a show together.”
Eight episodes of the new show have been ordered, although a premiere date has yet to be announced.
