While Real Housewives of New York Season 14 was an utter success, its end came with a great deal of uncertainty. The choice to bring in an all-new cast was risky, but paid off in the end, as fans had trouble deciding who the true breakout star was from the bunch.
Everyone had a new batch of favorite Housewives to pick from. One who stood out from the batch was Jenna Lyons, whose fame seemed to exceed that of even the average Housewife. By that same token, Jenna’s personality was atypical of what most people expected from a Bravolebrity.
But after the Season 14 reunion, speculation ran rampant that Jenna would leave the show behind. Nothing is set in stone, but the rumors have been so persistent that now, the other Housewives are responding to the claims, including Brynn Whitfield at BravoCon 2023.
The air of mystery is “just Jenna”
In an interview with Access Hollywood, host Emily Orozco asked Brynn about the rumors that Jenna would be leaving the show, citing specifically how unenthused she seemed at the reunion. “That’s just Jenna,” Brynn responded. “She keeps to herself, she’s a little conservative. No, I think if we all get to come back, I wouldn’t see — why not? … I think she’s just cool.”
When Emily expressed her worry that Jenna wouldn’t return, Brynn said, “I’m not worried that she’s not [coming back]. I think that maybe she would. She’s just in her own — she’s a whole vibe. She just does her thing. And that’s why I think she’s an incredible character because it was so unlikely, someone like her. So she’s still just playing the part of unlikely.”
Indeed, Jenna Lyons is unlike any other Housewife. Jessel Taank spoke similarly of her RHONY co-star in a separate interview. “She’s like an onion, she’s like a slow-burn. I think Jenna is someone who takes a while getting comfortable A) with people and B) with situations. And I think that towards the end … she opened up a little bit more.”
