Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent is a single mom to 2-year-old Ocean Kent Emmett. She also has a job. So she relies on her mother to help her care for her daughter, whose father is Randall Emmett. She considers her mom Lisa Burningham to be “co-parenting” with her.
On the November 29 episode of her podcast Give Them Lala, Lala’s brother and co-host, Easton Burningham, mentioned that their mom was overwhelmed. Lisa’s exhausted from watching the 2-year-old for a week while Lala worked on a project.
Lala, because she’s Lala, was not happy to hear that Lisa was complaining and had no sympathy for her mother. She responded that her mom enjoys the benefits of Lala’s reality television career. “I’m a working parent,” Lala snapped. “She doesn’t complain when I waltz into [Louis Vuitton] and buy her a new bag. Does she?”
Lala feels like a husband
But Easton feels bad for their mom (I feel bad for Ocean, having Lala for a mom). “[Mom] looks at me and she goes ‘I’m just raising this kid,’” he told his sister. But the former actress wasn’t having any of it.
“I come home and [Lisa] is at the top of the stairs and she goes, ‘I need your help and I’m over this,’” the Pump Rules star countered. “And I’m like, ‘I know what a man feels now.’ Like a working man, who has worked all day, but the mom has been home, raising the kids. And she’s like, ‘I need a f***ing break.’ And he’s like, ‘I’m f***ing exhausted, too.’”
“I’m sweating now because of what Mom said,” Lala continued furiously. “‘I’m raising this kid.’ F***ing suck my ovaries.”
After Easton reminded his sister that their mom was wiped out after watching the toddler for a full work week, Lala grudgingly agreed not to “rip her head off when I get home” for whining. Yikes! I wonder if Lala’s mom is getting paid or if she’s doing all this for free? It seems like she’s taking advantage of her mom, and it’s so not cool. Hire a nanny, sis!
Lala wants another child
In addition to the child she can’t take care of, Lala wants a second baby — via sperm donor this time to avoid any messy relationships. She has recently mentioned trying to get pregnant again and says the process is “going very well.”
“I did not expect my life to be this way,” the Give Them Lala Beauty founder said. “But I’m certainly thrilled that we are given options to bring kids into the world.”
“I know I want another baby,” she added, “So whatever I need to do to make that happen … IVF, sperm donor, IUI [intrauterine insemination] … any of it. I just want Ocean to have a sibling.”
Lala says she’d even consider having a baby with a partner, “even though that freaks me the f*** out to have a baby with somebody.” I’ll bet it freaks her mom out, too. Poor Lisa will probably end up raising baby number two, in addition to Ocean.
