Rachel Leviss Reveals Real Reason She Didn’t Return for Pump Rules Season 11

Vanderpump Rules Season 10 was a period of reality television no one will soon forget. To this day, we are still discussing the ripple effects of Scandoval.

But for all the good Season 10 brought us, once it ended, the show was plagued with uncertainty. What would become of Ariana Madix? Would Tom Sandoval get his just desserts? And most uncertain of all, would Rachel Leviss return for Season 11?

The answers to these questions came gradually, though, confusion sprang up regarding Rachel’s return. Various reports surrounding her contract negotiations seemed to contradict each other. In the end, Rachel confirmed she wouldn’t be back. But why?

Rachel reflected on Pump Rules Season 10, James, and Ariana

On Rachel’s new podcast, the former Bravolebrity confirmed once again that she would not be returning for Season 11. As to why, Rachel prefaced her explanation by saying her first mistake was returning for Season 10. “Looking back at that season, I was at my lowest of lows filming Vanderpump Rules,” she explained.

“After breaking off an engagement with James [Kennedy], that was my first mistake, because I should’ve taken the time to heal and find a therapist.” Instead, Rachel was filming VPR, not only with James but with his new girlfriend. As such, Rachel said, “I [can] only imagine the pain I would cause by filming in the same environment with Ariana.”

She continued, “Because being involved with somebody’s boyfriend while they’re still in a relationship is a huge betrayal, and so painful as it is. But then to continue working with these people? And interacting with them … And seeing your person that you loved so much … be conversing with this other person? It would just be so catastrophic.”

Rachel concluded her thoughts by saying, “I didn’t want to do that to Ariana. I didn’t wanna put her in that position.”
