Garcelle Beauvais Claims RHOBH Is ‘Hardest Job’ She’s Ever Had

Among Real Housewives, Garcelle Beauvais has one of the most extensive careers. Starting in professional modeling when she was only 16, Garcelle worked her way up the entertainment ladder.

Before she even made it on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Garcelle already had several entries in her filmography. Contrast that with many Housewives who strive to be actors only after their appearance on reality TV.

But despite Garcelle’s many years working and her wide resume with film and television, one job has been more difficult than the rest – reality TV. She told fans all about it on daytime TV.

Garcelle on how RHOBH affects her dating life

In her recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Garcelle admitted that filming RHOBH was the “hardest job [she’s] ever done.” She compared it to her acting roles, saying, “As an actor, you can hide behind a character. But being on a reality show it’s all you. It’s you, it’s your family, it’s your house.”

Garcelle continued, “So sometimes, you know … somebody can dig something up or say something that gets under your skin and it hurts.” Garcelle also commented on how the show affects her dating life. “That’s tricky because not everybody wants to be on a reality show. But I have a full life. When the man comes he comes.”

But despite the difficulty in vulnerability, Garcelle also admitted her love for the cast: “The best part is we have a lot of fun.” She went on, “When we’re not being catty and shading each other, it’s really fun. And the ridiculousness of how we dress, where we go … I mean, ballgowns to lunch if you want to. So, it’s fun.”

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
