Did Monica Garcia Choose To Leave Real Housewives of Salt Lake City?

Monica Niki Darnell Fowler Garcia has created a division among the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans we haven’t seen since the beginning of Gorga vs Guidice.

After Jen Shah launched RHOSLC with her crimes against the elderly and having cops hunt her down on camera, Monica managed to maintain the altitude after joining the show. But Mon’s worst enemy was herself in the final moments of the reunion where it appears she sealed her fate for Season 5. According to Mon, the “pause” was not her decision. The Cut has the details.

Monica would have stayed, but it wasn’t up to her

“That would be a cast and Bravo decision. It would not have been my decision,” she began. And we already know what the “cast” decision was. Save for Mary Cosby, no one wanted to film with Monica after the Reality Von Tease debacle.

That’s fine, but the ladies are acting like Mon’s social media account was the end-all-be-all of betrayal. I wonder if the cast expects the same energy from each other because didn’t Heather Gay lie to them for over a year? Weren’t they all actively hanging out with someone lying to the government? Exactly what are their standards for tolerating deceit at this point?

While Monica isn’t returning for Season 5, Andy Cohen implied on Watch What Happens Live the game might not be over. Apparently Mon is on “pause” but not the Dorinda Medley type of “pause,” she could actually come back.

The Von Tease of it All

At this time, Reality Von Tease is still up on Instagram. “I truly did not think it was going to be a big deal, genuinely. This was a bigger deal than Jen [Shah] getting arrested and going to prison,” Monica added. OR it could be these women have a lot of secrets and are terrified there’s someone around who might tell them. Ahem, Jen.

“It’s comical, in a sense. That they are more upset at me about a snark page than they are about someone scamming elderly people out of millions of dollars. This was someone who they chose to stand by,” she continued.

She might be gone for now, but if she plays the game correctly, she’ll be back. What we really need is a Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Villains season, just to tide fans over until the Return of Monica.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is expected to begin filming in early 2024.
