There is a ton of crap to unpack from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion. This three-parter was no easy thing to watch. There was constant yelling, over-talking, Andy Cohen zoning out, and multiple revelations. The RHOSLC ladies gave a rousing performance, as each one of them wanted to make sure they were heard. These were the RHOSLC Season 4 reunion’s most shocking moments.

Heather’s Black Eye

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 finale gave us a lot to digest. But the biggest bombshell was when Heather Gay revealed that Jen Shah was behind her black eye. “I felt like I had to lie to protect her,” Heather said. “I did whatever it took…I went on a book tour and defended her and took sh*t for the fact that she gave me a black eye.” Fast forward to the third part of the reunion as Heather explained what really went down.

Through sobs, Heather shared, “It was a lot of drinking. I woke up with a black eye. I knew I got it from Jen.” The Bad Mormon explained, “Jen said, ‘Did I give that to you?’ I said, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll cover.’ I’d been covering her for three years. I was not going to stop.” Both agreed that they would deny the incident unless Bravo had footage of Heather sharing she is “still worried about retaliation.” I think it’s safe to assume Jen is seething with anger as she sits behind bars.

Who Was Reality Von Tease

Honestly, I’m still not sure who was behind Reality Von Tease. Even though Monica Garcia promised to spill all the tea during the reunion, I dare say she failed miserably at doing so. During her segment, Monica was allowed a chance to try to convince the Salt Lake City women and us that she had a damn good reason for doing what she did. What Monica has in pizzaz she lacks in memory as the mother of four literally couldn’t remember why she really started the troll account, with the exception of bringing down Jen.

Monica spoke less about facts and more in cryptic 2000s teen slang, quipping, “Even Gossip Girl couldn’t stay Gossip Girl forever.” The shocking truth was that Monica couldn’t recall why she had acted like a mean girl, middle schooler, burn book, and all.

Mary Accuses Whitney of Racism

I honestly keep forgetting Mary Cosby was on this season. The last we saw of her was at the Trixie Motel ordering 20 McNuggets and not sharing with production. Mary was on the couch for all of five minutes before she accused the LDS Church of being “racist.” And while Heather backed up her claims that the church was founded on racist principals, Mary word-slapped Whitney Rose with some accusations of her own.

Whitney and Mary have never gotten back on track, and when the blonde called out her arch nemesis for tweeting mean things, Mary clapped back, claiming she “didn’t tweet anything about” Whitney, but thankfully, Bravo production showed us she actually tweeted, “This tells me Whitney is racist, too.”

Mary noted she based her opinion on Whitney being raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even though she has since left the church, Mary kept coming for her. Mary told Andy “that our color is cursed by the color of Cain. And that Black people will be in a different heaven … and we’ll be the help.” Justifiably, Whitney asks what she has done, but Mary has no examples and notes, “It’s not anything you do or say; it’s your actions. And it’s a feeling, and you have to be my color to know it.”

Jack Barlow’s Visa Issues

Perhaps the funniest moment on the Season 4 reunion was when Lisa Barlow exclaimed that her son, Jack Barlow, had “bounced” on his mission. Naturally, I thought the 18-year-old had woken up and realized he didn’t want to live a three-year suppressive lifestyle, but I was wrong. It turns out Jack had been hanging out in California due to technical difficulties with his visa. He thought the Columbian officials would want to see a photo of his six-pack.

Spoiler alert—they did not and forced him to resubmit his visa paperwork. Lisa giggled that Jack had sent the six-pack photo to the “Colombian government as his visa picture like, thinking it was funny, and they denied it. So he had to reapply.” Jesus, to be spoiled and naive; what a combination.

Monica vs. Her Mother

As if Monica’s participation in the troll account wasn’t enough, she also had major beef with her mother. Andy and the viewers were floored to learn that Linda was the reason why Monica’s Bermuda relatives canceled at the last minute. The rookie shared that it was “an unsolved mystery because my mother and I are not speaking” and that her mom was “very, very pissed” because the producers wouldn’t pay for her to fly to the island.

The issues got worse as Monica opened up about why her mother left her at the age of 12, and you guessed it; it was to “pursue her dream” of being on TV. Monica relayed a telling story about how she thought she might have blown the Real Housewives audition, sharing, “And my mom said, ‘Let’s say a prayer.’ … She literally said, ‘Lord, if it’s not Monica, let it be me.”

Monica Is Sue Happy

Lastly, who had Monica throwing a shoe at a toddler on their RHOSLC Season 4 reunion bingo card? No? Me either. But we all learned that during Angie Katsanevas’ Greek Easter brunch, Monica fell down some stairs where a railing didn’t exist. Mind you, it was less than half a flight, but she still threatened to sue Angie. Monica tried to throw Meredith Marks under the table by stating, “She said, ‘Do you want her house? You could take her house.’”

Bravo replayed the video footage of Monica losing her footing, and it seemed a lot of people in the basement came to her aid. Angie’s relatives told her to take off her heels, asked for ice, and offered her a hand. Instead, all they got in return was a few choice curse words and a shoe thrown at their child. Not cool, Mon. Glad to hear she won’t be returning for Season 5.
