Rachel Leviss Realizes She Still Owes Ariana Madix an Apology

The Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere has come and gone and yes, Rachel Leviss watched it. While she won’t be appearing on the show, she did want to see how she would be portrayed after the national crisis known as Scandoval.

After the Season 10 reunion takedown we all know Rachel went into a mental health facility for 90 days. She’s been working on herself in the aftermath of the drama and despite being almost a year out, she’s still “grieving.” Now Rach is discussing the apology she feels Ariana Madix needs. The Pump Rules alum detailed it on an episode of Rachel Goes Rogue.

Rachel is in a “different place”

It’s easy to say after the affair between Tom Sandoval and Rachel rocked the reality television world, Rachel has done more work on herself than Tom. While he’s out on the streets making excuses for his behavior, Rachel is trying to own hers.

After the reunion, Rachel took off but she kept communicating with Tom. And for that, she wants to basically repent to Ariana. But here’s what, I don’t think Ariana really wants to hear it.

“It was hard to see because I’m in a different place than I was back then,” she said after watching the premiere. “It’s a weird time warp when you’re watching a show like this and living one reality in that moment.”

Rachel added, “Then, months later when the episodes air, you’re living in another reality but you’re also reliving those moments that they captured on camera. And so it’s a nod to my younger self who was still in love and infatuated.”

“I feel like, with my apology that I made at the reunion, I had all the right intentions. And I was extremely sorry,” she continued. “But there’s another part of an apology, which is your actions afterward — they have to align with what you’re saying. And by sending him letters and being in contact for a good amount of time, I still want to take this time now to apologize again because I am in a different place than I was back then, and I can see things a lot clearer now.”

The accountability of it all

Rach appears remorseful and isn’t trying to play around with any cast members. Further, Rachel left Lala Kent on read when she reached out to her. I can’t very well clock her for having a podcast, because EVERYONE has a podcast at this point.

In taking accountability for her actions, Rach shared, “I got emotional watching that. You know, like, I recognized that my behavior was so hurtful to her.”

“I am watching this show and I’m really having to accept the fact that I’m not on it this season, and that was a decision that I really had a lot of weight in making. I didn’t take that lightly, and so it’s almost like a part of me grieving what could have been in a different parallel timeline. But I do think of that I made the right decision by not going back.”

Ultimately, she’s happy VPR is going on without her. “I’m so happy that I’ve been able to find more peace in my life and my day-to-day is stable and as serene as it could be in this stage in my life, I believe. … I do worry about things that are going to come up this season, but I’m just happy that I’m not in it like I used to be,” she concluded.

Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 8 PM/ET on Bravo.
