Why Kyle Richards Avoided Watching RHOBH Finale Separation Scene

For many viewers, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 was a hard season to get through. Since fans hoped to gain insight into Kyle Richards’ marital issues, there was a sense of frustration as answers simply didn’t come.

By the season finale, fans were finally able to see the much-anticipated family sit-down with Kyle, Mauricio Umansky, and their daughters. Bravo teased the talk as far back as the first Season 13 trailer.

Whether the scene delivered on what fans were after is still up for debate. However, in terms of drama, the scene was perhaps too much for one viewer in particular – Kyle Richards. She told fans all about it on Watch What Happens Live.

Kyle explains the difficulty in ‘reliving’ Season 13

In her appearance on Wednesday’s WWHL, Kyle referred to the family sit-down, saying, “I couldn’t get myself to watch. I saw it in the [WWHL] dressing room.” She explained, “It’s hard to watch. I really don’t need to see it, because I already lived it. And just to relive it is difficult.”

Despite the difficulty in living and watching the encounter, Kyle said, “we pulled it together.” Fans saw Kyle’s most difficult moments play out in the season finale. She shared, “Things have been a lot more uncomfortable with me and Mo ever since the article came out, I think because it made it just so much more real.”

Kyle felt her kids were living in a “fairy tale” until the article came out, at which point, “the rug had been pulled out from underneath” them, “because things are worse than we led on to be.” She told her daughters that she was trying to “protect” them. Kyle assured her daughters that she and Mo had not discussed divorce.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 Reunion Part 1 airs Wednesday, February 23 at 8/7c on Bravo.
