Ariana Madix Hits Back at Her Critics: ‘Those People Don’t Want Women to Work’

Ariana Madix has been flying high ever since Vanderpump Rules Season 10 ended. Who would’ve thought that being cheated on by Tom Sandoval would be the gateway to success? Or, as one VPR co-star put it, who would’ve thought being cheated on would lead her to become God?

Granted, that’s an oversimplification. Ariana certainly does have some measure of talent. That said, would that talent be enough to springboard her to her current level of success without all the headlines covering Scandoval in 2023? Many detractors think not.

On top of that, many fans have grown a bit tired of it all. For about a year now, Ariana and Tom have been dominating headlines, and multiple Bravo viewers are ready to get over it. If that sentiment grows, where will that leave Ariana? That’s unclear. But as for what Ariana has to say to these detractors, well, she had some choice words.

Ariana on Tom’s idiocy and her critics

In the LA Times’ latest “For Real With Amy Kaufman,” Ariana responded to those who claimed to be past the Scandoval drama. “They say that all the time – ‘I’m over it,’” she said. “But them saying that feels a little bit like, ‘Oh, you own my life? You’ve decided that you’ve consumed enough content?’”

From there, the conversation moved to finances. To all those who criticized Ariana for capitalizing off of Scandoval, she said, “Those people don’t want women to work.” She added, “I think those people are confused about what it is that I do for a living. Those are acting jobs.”

On top of that, Ariana addressed Tom’s recent comments regarding O.J. Simpson and George Floyd. She said, “I was just blown away by how anybody could say something so awful. It was interesting how much Bravo was trying to cover for him.”

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
