Lisa Vanderpump and Rachel Leviss have been trading blows ever since Rachel decided to exit Vanderpump Rules. For a long while, Rachel’s exit was up in the air. But when she left, she did so in a blaze of glory.
Since her departure, Rachel’s had no problem sharing her true feelings about LVP. Among Rachel’s claims against her former employer is the propensity to protect Tom Sandoval. Just as well, Rachel’s claimed that Lisa favors the men on VPR over the women.
Lisa’s had no problem firing back. Most recently, she sought to invalidate Rachel’s upcoming lawsuit. She called the whole thing “ridiculous” and said she shouldn’t have sent porn to her “best friend’s boyfriend.” Recently, Lisa took another jab at Rachel.
Lisa blames Rachel for Scandoval
In speaking with E! News, LVP addressed Rachel’s many attacks toward her, the VPR cast, and the network. “She’s justified in speaking out if she wants,” Lisa said, adding, “But I think it would have been a much better platform to have come on Vanderpump Rules and done it.”
To that point, Lisa questioned Rachel’s strategy in starting a podcast to give her side of the Scandoval story. In Lisa’s mind, Rachel was the responsible party. “I don’t know exactly what she’s going to move on from. I mean, she slept with her best friend’s boyfriend.” Ah, yes, so Rachel is the only one to blame, eh Lisa?
As for what career move Rachel might make next, Lisa said, “She was a beauty queen before, maybe she should go back to doing that.” Keeping in mind that Rachel certainly is condemnable for many reasons, it’s hard not to read Lisa’s tone here as condescending.
Moreover, of course LVP would want Rachel to air out her grievances on VPR rather than on a podcast. That would be good for the show, and what’s good for the show is what’s good for Lisa. Forgive the cynicism, but if Rachel was still on the show, Lisa would be benefiting from all the buzz Rachel’s created for herself.
