Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke has unexpectedly become the comedic relief of the show. The Southern Belle’s quirkiness has made her a Bravo fan favorite, with fans even creating a fandom for her. She always keeps us laughing, whether she means to be funny or not.
In honor of Sutton completing her third season as an RHOBH diamond holder, let’s take a look back at some of her funniest moments on the show.
When She Worked With a Matchmaker
In Season 13 of RHOBH, Sutton decided to take more initiative regarding her dating life, so she hired a professional matchmaker named Alessandra Conti. Sutton invited Dorit Kemsley over to help her review her potential suitors because, as she said, if Dorit fell in love with PK, maybe she wouldn’t need to be so picky. Her words, not ours!
Alessandra showed Sutton photos of different suitors and her reactions were priceless. She rejected one guy for wearing a black shirt with a black tuxedo (reasonable) and dismissed another for his taste in movies. The best part was when she seemed mildly horrified by Alessandra’s suggestion that she hug her date upon arrival. “I’m not hugging him,” she replied. We’re with her on that one!
When She Calmed Herself With a Face Roller
Sutton and Crystal Kung Minkoff’s boat conversation in Lake Tahoe will always be iconic. The two sat down to make peace after a series of unfortunate misunderstandings. The reconciliation was meant to be serious but fans couldn’t help but laugh when Sutton pulled out a face roller to calm her nerves. Sutton’s roller trick only solidified Crystal’s belief that her co-star was crazy but it was a joy for us to watch. Sutton’s use of the roller was so funny. She demonstrated genius levels of object work in that scene. Bravo!
When She Gave the Mayor Notes
In Season 10, Sutton threw a party to celebrate the opening of her store and the Mayor of West Hollywood stopped by to share a few words. Instead of thanking the Mayor for attending, she chose to use the opportunity to air out her grievances about the area. During his speech, she interjected with questions about permits and parking tickets. It was not the best timing but funny nonetheless.
When She Was Upset About Magic Mike
In Season 13, the women took a trip to Vegas to see the Magic Mike show. While most of the ladies fully embraced the experience, Sutton was clutching her pearls. She actually ended up leaving the theatre because she was so upset. As she stormed off, she listed some of her prestigious accomplishments to show how unbelievable it was that she had to see a dancer grind on Erika Jayne.
“I am on the board of the American Ballet Foundation. I don’t do that f***ing s***,” she said on her way out.
The whole thing was so dramatic, but that’s Sutton for you. Some of the women suggested she was less upset about the performance and more upset that she wasn’t chosen to go onstage. Tea. Either way, it’s funny.
When She Wore a Cat Sweater on a Date
Sutton marches to the beat of her own drum and that’s why we love her. In Season 12, she decided to wear a blue sweater with a cat on it on a date. The ensemble wasn’t exactly sexy but it was very fitting for our girl. The women made fun of her for it in Season 13 but we still think it was a perfect choice. Why hide your love for cats?
When She Complained About the Wine
During a dinner with the ladies in Season 10, Sutton let the waiter know that her wine was “not very tasty.” Both the ladies and the audience were sort of shocked but impressed by her forwardness. After the waiter suggested a different option, Sutton cooly replied, “Okay, we’ll try that.” Spoken like a true boss.
