We Still Can’t Forgive Tom Sandoval, Here’s Why

The Scandoval storyline on Vanderpump Rules broke the internet around this time last year. For the most part, this cast is now moving forward, showing signs of forgiveness towards Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss. But then there’s Tom, who is still off on a blame everyone-else tour because he’s a never-wrong kinda guy.

Seriously, no matter how sadly Tom plays his penis flute songs, his continued statements have us stuck on red. This man is still making excuses to justify his affair with Rachel. He’s also continuing to blame his errors on everyone else in the room, including Ariana Madix, because he’s the number one self-centered guy in the group, so he can.

Tom doesn’t understand how royally he has f*cked up. Beyond this, he has also failed to show any signs of remorse, or even growth. Basically, Bravo‘s “worm keeps worming,” as Tom hasn’t changed, not even a little. Listen to what this guy’s still out here doing and saying, which will show why we are finding it so d*amn hard to forgive Tom at this current point in time.

Tom’s Projection Bias of a “Performative” Ariana

During the first VPR Season 11 After Show, Tom suggested that Ariana wasn’t as angry as Season 10 portrayed. In fact, he thinks that her emotions were all “performative,” which he added was “not a good look” for Ariana. This is such a stretch, as Ariana was the victim, so her angry outbursts were all real, not an act. It’s Tiny Tom who was the true performer here, and his little shows all began after he got busted.

First, Tom wept without any tears at Lisa Vanderpump‘s house in the Season 10 finale, before experiencing the shortest case of hyperventilation we’ve ever seen. Then, Tom thanked his cast mates for being there for Ariana during the reunion, like he was her spokesperson. It was truly as if he had this specific line rehearsed and ready. Therefore, when his costars kept interrupting him while he was trying to deliver this prepared bit, he grew agitated.

Cue Tom’s over-the-top fake crying at that moment because he couldn’t fulfill his constructed narrative. Thankfully, James Kennedy clocked the croc, causing Tom to immediately switch gears, no longer “weeping.” Seriously, Tom’s recent projection of his “performative” behaviors onto Ariana makes us unable to forgive him, because he still isn’t able to see that these crappy behaviors are his and his alone. Meanwhile, the only stage that Ariana is performing on is Broadway…

Even With Timestamps, Tom Can’t Admit Fault

Recently, Tom appeared on The Viall Files Podcast with his lapdog Schwartz. However, Tom arrived at this taping over an hour late, which the podcast’s host Nick Viall called him out on. Instead of apologizing, Tom chose to flip the script instead. Here, he accused Nick of being the one who was late first for his little deflection-filled podcast just last month.

“You were two hours late to my podcast by the way,” Tom said, deflecting Nick’s thrice-asked question on why Tom was late. On this, Nick said that he hadn’t been late at all. Not shockingly, Tom refused to back down, replying “Dude you were! You’re like I’ll be there between 5:30 and 6:30. You showed up at 8:30.”

While Nick began explaining how untrue Tom’s statement was, Tom started talking over Nick. Therefore, Nick asked Tom again why he was late, and in the most annoying fashion ever, Tom went back to accusing Nick of being late. Finally, text messages between the pair arrived to save the day, as their timestamps proved that Nick had not been late at all for Tom’s podflop. Even still, Tom wouldn’t back down, insisting that Nick was late and that this conversation needed to be dropped.

Even with timestamped proof, Tom cannot admit when he is wrong. He’s not making forgiveness easy, eh?

Tom Still Sees Himself as the True Victim

We’ve got to hand it to Nick. He stayed on Tom’s neck during his podcast. When Tom began a pity party about his lust for Rachel, he couldn’t quite find the right words to wrap up his thoughts, using sentences like “unfortunately being vulnerable and in this situation, it got me to throw logic and everything out the window, and peoples feelings…Ariana’s feelings…I can’t do anything about it except just try to…” So Nick interjected, saying, “You can learn from it.”

Sadly, Tom quickly spiraled back into his blame-Ariana mode. “I love Ariana…but this person, f*cking throughout our relationship talked to me like I was down here all the f*cking time, and it’s unfortunate that my way of acting out against that was me also just getting belittled, belittled, belittled, all the f*cking time! Dude!” he stressed, going full-on victim mode.

At this point, even Schwartz had to step in, reminding Tom that “this might be construed as you saying she made me cheat…” Even still, Tom carried on, adding, “She wouldn’t have sex with me for like, f*cking a year!” On this, Schwartz sighed, and we died because it’s clear that Tom will never be able to shut up and own up to his poor choices made, allowing us all to move forward in forgiveness for every single party involved.
