Rachel Leviss‘ publicist, Juliette Harris, has recently claimed Bravo staged Scandoval for ratings.
On a new episode of the Rachel Goes Rogue podcast, Juliette had much to say about Rachel’s seven-month affair with Tom Sandoval. “My theory is not going to be a popular one, but I stand by it, and I will go to my grave believing it,” she said. “The Bravo sleuths are super sleuths, but women, as a whole, pretty good at sleuthing.”
“If I think my husband is cheating, I can walk right over to his side of the bed when he’s asleep and can check his phone because clearly, she had his password. When you drop your phone, it doesn’t unlock, so she had to unlock it.”
VPR producers maintain Scandoval was not staged for ratings…
Juliette’s comments aren’t the first time watchers have suggested the fallout between Tom and Ariana Madix was staged for television purposes. When the Broadway-bound star appeared on The View in May 2023, she dismissed the accusations, calling them “insulting.”
“That’s not true,” she said. “First of all, it’s very real … I find that to be very insulting to me personally.” The reality star continued, saying her break-up with Tom was “something I am really going through” and “did really go through.”
“And [it’s] not just me, but our friends as well that were close to both of them … it’s as though our collective pain didn’t mean anything,” she said.
In another interview, one of the show’s producers revealed what she saw between Tom, Ariana, and Rachel while editing the show’s ninth season.
“As we were putting together the season, what we started to see very clearly was Tom wanting to be out in the world way more often than Ariana did. And the people he was going out in the world with were [Tom] Schwartz and Rachel. I thought that she might have a crush on him.”
Although Rachel walked away from reality TV after the VPR reunion, Bravo executives have continued to shower the former pageant queen with praise.
“We still very much love her,” executive producer Sheonna Mix said at BravoCon 2023.
