What Nick Viall Finds ‘Weird’ About Scheana Shay

Nick Viall has been on the offensive against Scheana Shay as of late. Recently, he called Scheana out for what he deemed “performative outrage” on Vanderpump Rules Season 10.

And while Scheana can garner sympathy from time to time, often, it’s easy to condemn her. For example, the way she seems to use people’s location sharing against them. Katie Maloney called this habit an “invasion of privacy that’s been happening all around.”

In fact, perhaps one should question just why Scheana engages in location sharing with so many people. Is it a safety matter? Purely a mechanism for gossip? Nick and his podcast cohorts ruminated on the matter.

Does Scheana derive joy from tracking others?

On the April 2 episode of his podcast, Nick, his guest, and his cohosts discussed one of Scheana’s stranger habits. Ciara Robinson addressed a non-present Brock Davies, asking, “Why don’t you care that your wife has 57 people’s locations, half of which she’s dated?” Nick agreed with the sentiment, saying, “That’s weird.”

The group’s guest, Tallulah Willis, said she shared her location with the likes of family. Nick added, “These are people I want to know where I am,” and Tallulah agreed. She added, “The idea that my entertainment or joy would derive from like, putting together and like, seeking like other people’s comings and goings? That’s weird.”

Ciara reminded the group that location sharing was how Scheana found out about Max Boyens’ hookup with Katie, calling that “a giant red flag. That she not only like, saw it, but then decided to check it multiple times.” Natalie Joy also pointed out that it was “weird” for Scheana to be concerned with how people might feel if she stopped sharing her location with them.

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
