Simply knowing Lisa Vanderpump can see your entire career gaining a massive boost. Yet, imagine being related to this mogul, while also sharing her iconic last name. Sam Vanderpump wins this heavy crown, and he’s also now joining his aunt in the reality television realm. To explain, LVP’s nephew just booked himself a starring role on the British reality television series, Made in Chelsea, where he’ll help aid in the chaos seen throughout Season 27.
Sam’s background
While it isn’t clear if Lisa pulled any strings for Sam, their shared last name likely didn’t hurt. As for her affection for Sam, let’s look back at Lisa’s last season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Here, we learned that her brother Mark had died by suicide, after ingesting a cocktail of pills amidst his battle with depression. Mark was (and still is, as death can never truly separate us from our loved ones) Sam’s father.
Being such a tragic event, it’s pretty likely that Sam will talk more about his loss on Made in Chelsea. It’s also pretty likely that he’ll share a few things about his beloved Aunt Lisa, with whom he’s very close. Likewise, Sam comes in hot with a varied career background, which includes DJing, Kart driving, construction, and even foreign exchange. Currently, he’s the “Managing Director of Dapio,” a software company with offices in both London and Dubai.
Seems like Sam’s got the same hustle energy as his aunt, aka the restaurateur, and the executive producer of both Vanderpump Rules and Vanderpump Villa.
Made in Chelsea
The Made in Chelsea Season 27 trailer teases that there’s “not a modicum of decorum in sight.” This tracks, since this long-running series follows the lives of London’s crème de la crème, who all traverse their city in fairly messy ways. As for Sam, he’ll be coming on as Reza Amiri-Garroussi’s friend. Reza’s a bit problematic at times, so it’ll be interesting to watch how Sam interacts with his buddy, as well as with the remainder of his cast.
Made in Chelsea Season 27 premieres on Monday, April 15 at 9 pm on E4 in the UK. For those of us in the States, Hayu is our best bet.
