Tori Spelling Gets ‘Real’ About Chances of Joining RHOBH

If you stop to think about it, Tori Spelling would check off a lot of boxes on a list of things we’ve come to expect from prospective Real Housewives. She had a privileged Beverly Hills upbringing. She’s been famous since the 90s. She has a complicated relationship with her mother. She’s mom to a gaggle of kids. Currently, she’s going through a divorce from Dean McDermott. Tori even has prior reality TV experience.

Apparently, many fans of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have wondered why Tori hasn’t been offered a diamond. Tori says she has the same question. Since at least 2019, she’s been “sad and offended” that she was never cast on the show. Last week, Tori recalled once approaching Andy Cohen about it. Though she says he gave her kind of a throwaway answer, she got “real” and revealed what she thinks the actual reason is.

Tori believes she hasn’t been offered a spot on RHOBH because she’s “broke”

On the April 19 episode of misSPELLING pod, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum shared her response when fans asked why she hadn’t made her way to RHOBH.

“I’m like, I don’t know. Once, I asked Andy Cohen, who I love and have known forever, been on his show many times. He was like, ‘Yeah, we keep getting this question.'”

“And I’m like, ‘So, Andy, what’s the answer?’ He was like, ‘Ehh, I don’t know. You and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? I can’t see it.'”

Tori said he also asked her if she already knew the cast of the series, to which she answered, “Every single one of them I am friends with and have known forever and have a history.”

She then referenced her part as Donna Martin on Beverly Hills, 90210, saying, “But whoa, whoa, whoa, wasn’t I the OG Beverly Hills? I don’t understand.”

Then she addressed the in-the-red, tax-liened, budget motel-staying elephant in the room.

“What I really want to say to him, and I’m a little passive-aggressive, so I’m like, ‘Huh! All the fans ask, Andy, so I don’t know, whatever, that’s fine. What I wanted to say is, ‘Uh, is it ’cause I’m broke? Let’s be real.'”

To add insult to injury? Jennie Garth revealed a while back that she was offered the gig, but wanted nothing to do with it. Ouch.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills streams on Peacock.
