Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s war continues to rage on. The pair have been showcasing the struggles in their marriage over the last few episodes of Bravo’s newest series, The Valley. And it’s not just drinking alcohol and love languages they’re fighting about. Brittany told her pal, Scheana Shay, they’re beefing over money, too. Whew, chile — let’s get into it.
Brittany found it stressful being the breadwinner in her marriage to Jax…
During last night’s episode of Vanderpump Rules, Brittany — who was fired from the series in 2020 — chatted with Scheana about the stress she’s been dealing with being married to Jax. She revealed that a major source of conflict has to do with her making money.
“I know whenever me and Jax were going through that where I was making more money for once, I could tell that was a shift for him.” She continued, saying, “We were fighting a lot because of that alone.”
Later, Brittany asked the Good As Gold singer whether “being the breadwinner” causes any tension in her marriage to Brock Davies. Of course, Scheana replied, saying that it does.
Brittany responded, saying Jax’s pride caused him to feel some type of way about their income. “I think because they are such manly men, that can be something even if they don’t express it,” she said.
After they were let go from VPR, Brittany said “The roles kind of flipped.”
“I was definitely making more money,” she noted. “I can tell it hurt Jax’s ego.”
Although this scene was shot several months before Jax and Brittany spoke about living separately, it gave viewers an inside look into some of their problems. And thanks to the cameras capturing the aftermath of their fallout, we’ll see it play out in the later episodes of The Valley.
