Pump Rules Star Brock Davies Was Raised in the Mormon Church

As we’ve gotten to know Brock Davies throughout the past few seasons of Vanderpump Rules, we’ve learned a lot about his many past lives.

The native New Zealander grew up on an Australian dairy farm and tragically lost a finger in a machinery accident. He has an ex-wife and two children back in Australia with whom he has a fractured relationship. And, he was a professional rugby player in a few different countries before arriving in the U.S. to play college football. Eventually, he landed in L.A., married Scheana Shay, and welcomed their daughter, Summer Moon.

In a recent episode, Brock revealed another unexpected factoid about his past: he grew up in the Mormon church. Apparently, his upbringing in the church still occasionally influences some of his thoughts and feelings.

Brock revealed that he was raised in the Mormon church until he was 14

On last night’s episode of Pump Rules, the cast gathered at a 1920s-themed speakeasy for Lala Kent’s birthday. When scantily-clad burlesque dances began shaking their pasties, Brock seemed weirded out when one approached his general area.

He quickly urged, “Don’t come over here!”

Scheana then offered an explanation for Brock’s awkward discomfort. “Brock is like, ‘I don’t know where to look.’ He hates strip clubs because he doesn’t know where to look.”

Brock elaborated during a confessional segment, revealing, “I was raised in the Mormon church until I was 14. So there’s a small little Mormon boy in me that is very uncomfortable when there’s women dancing around me.”

Surprisingly, his time in the church had no effect on his comfort level for lounging around in teeny-tiny “budgy smugglers,” getting super drunk and reminiscing about “the pig farmer’s daughter,” or spectating Scheana’s orgy from the sidelines!

Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules continues Tuesdays at 8/7c. on Bravo.
