Of course, when people think about Ariana Madix and her love life, their minds instantly go to he who must not be named, aka Tom Sandoval. But, what most people forget is that after Scandoval she rebounded pretty quickly into a new relationship. In March 2024, weeks after her split with Tom, Ariana announced that she was dating Daniel Wai.
The two seemed to get close quickly, with Daniel making a few cameos in Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules. It’s been a while since she’s posted about him on social media, though. Not to mention that her schedule with Love Island USA might make it hard for romance. This all begs the question: are they still together? Ariana just gave an important update.

Ariana was a recent guest on Disrespectfully, the podcast hosted by fellow VPR alums Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan. During the segment, she confirmed that she and Daniel were still together. She also explained that it’s their distance that prevents them from taking the next step of moving in together.
“I feel like two years is, it’s getting to a point where it’s like, ‘OK, now we’re really going to, then I’m in Fiji for two months, or I’m in New York for four or five months. It’s like, well … we might as well wait to talk about that,” she explained in the May 7 episode.
Whilst the reality TV star is not a fan of the long-distance dynamic, she did gush about her boyfriend’s willingness to make it work.
“We have phone dates and stuff where we’ll pick a recipe and we both order the (ingredients) and we make it together and then sit and eat together and watch shows … He makes sure we have dates while we’re apart, as well.”
