After Scandoval broke, Vanderpump Rules alum Kristen Doute was not Team Tom Sandoval. However, Tom has been seeking redemption, mostly through appearances on various reality shows. Now that the Pump Rules cast has been let go in favor of fresh faces, this strategy makes sense. Recently, Tom and his band The Most Extras auditioned on America’s Got Talent. And, as a side benefit, Tom has reconnected with some of his former co-stars.

There were rumors that Tom received special treatment on AGT. “He didn’t have a typical audition or audition process,” an insider claimed, noting Tom’s relationship with NBC. Still, Tom strutted the stage, performing a rendition of Take on Me by A-ha.
Judges Howie Mandel, Mel B, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell enjoyed the performance. However, Simon did critique Tom’s vocals. Still, Tom and his band made it through to the next round.
Now, Tom shared that he and Kristen have reconnected. “Luke [Broderick] and Kristen both reached out to me. Of course, I congratulated Luke and Kristen on Kaia Lily, because I know they just had their baby,” Tom told E! News. Kristen and Luke, who star on The Valley, welcomed their baby daughter on June 11, 2025.
“We talk to each other from time to time. Especially Luke, I see him more often,” Tom explained. As you may recall, Kristen and Tom were dating during the first two seasons of Pump Rules. “We’ve been through a lot together,” Tom said, referencing his former girlfriend.
Plus, Tom also heard from Tom Schwartz, Scheana Shay, and her hubby, Brock Davies. Some of Tom’s co-stars from The Traitors and House of Villains also reached out to congratulate him.
Tom stated, “The outpouring of support, I feel so blessed and lucky to have friends like that are giving me so much love. It’s been really awesome.” The singer added, “I appreciate it.”
America’s Got Talent airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and streams the following day on Peacock.
