The kids have grown up and are sharing their side of the story. Brielle Biermann is opening up about how she found out about her parents, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s divorce, her own financial issues, and what it was like being in the middle of it all.
We’ve heard from Ariana Biermann on Next Gen NYC about her own experiences with Kim and her financial issues. The next-gen star talked about how The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum borrowed money from her. And as it turns out, from her older sister, Brielle, too. The ironic thing is, Brielle didn’t even realize her family had money troubles until she saw it online.
Brielle Biermann learned about parents Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s money troubles online
Brielle, Kim’s oldest daughter, appeared on Regina Carter’s YouTube show Heir Time. The Don’t Be Tardy alum talked about a number of things, including growing up on reality TV, her sparkly engagement ring, those unforgettable lip fillers in 2016, and the impact Kim and Kroy’s ongoing divorce has had on her and the family.
“I didn’t know Kim and Kroy were getting a divorce until I read it on TMZ,” Brielle admitted. “And I didn’t know we had no money. I was like, ‘What is going on?’ I just wish that not everything was aired publicly.” She feels bad that her siblings are going through all of it with her.
Brielle revealed she found out about Kim and Kroy’s divorce in a Walmart parking lot, and when she asked her mom, Kim just began crying.
“I was hit with a lot of harsh realities really fast and all at once,” Brielle said (at the 21:50 mark). “It was like, you know, I bought a first-class flight to the Bahamas yesterday, and then I was told you have zero dollars? Like ‘Where did all that money go? What happened?’”
She shared that for them, the divorce came “out of nowhere,” and it has been hard on the whole family. These days, Brielle described her relationship with Kroy as them being “decently close,” but they aren’t how they once were. She added that Kim’s been a “superhero” through it all for her and her siblings. And despite using some of Brielle’s money, she did the best she could.
In fact, she has felt quite close to her mom, which is why it was the perfect time for them to do a show together. The pair starred in Botched Presents: Plastic Surgery Rewind, where they discussed their plastic surgeries.
