One of the many exciting announcements at BravoCon 2025 was Real Housewives Ultimate Road Trip. The latest RHUGT season will feature a group of Real Housewives on a road trip starting in Orange County and ending somewhere on the east coast. As they drive cross country, the Housewives will stop at iconic cities and locations from the franchise. This is also meant to celebrate 20 years of the Real Housewives. So, which Housewives would manage to highlight two decades of the groundbreaking reality TV franchise and make for an entertaining road trip? I have a few ideas!
The Real Housewives Ultimate Road Trip cast could be incredible
The fact that this series is meant to celebrate 20 years of Real Housewives makes it a very special occassion. When it was announced, Bravo promised it will be a group of fan favorites on this Ultimate Road Trip. How do you choose a group of Housewives to represent two full decades of amazing quotes, feuds, and jaw-dropping moments? So, hopes are very high for this cast. Loyal fans already started speculating this new series could lead to the return of some much-missed former Housewives. Because of that, I chose some of the most legendary Real Housewives ever. Here are my dream cast picks for Real Housewives Ultimate Road Trip.
Vicki Gunvalson: RHOC
The Real Housewives Ultimate Road Trip will reportedly start off in Orange County. Let’s start with the OG of the OG Housewives series. Love her or hate her, Vicki Gunvalson is coming back to Bravo. If you’re going to make a show designed to celebrate Real Housewives, you need someone who was there for the very beginning. Vicki is responsible for the earliest iconic franchise moments, has multiple catchphrases, and in many ways serves as a blueprint for what makes a legendary Real Housewife.
The way RHOC fans cheered at the news of her rejoining for Season 20 shows how beloved she still is with the franchise’s superfans. Plus, you can always count on her for some kind of freakout or fight on a trip. Expect lots of references to her infamous family van meltdown too.
Luann de Lesseps: RHONY
Luann de Lesseps on a trip makes for priceless TV. From “Don’t be all, like, uncool” to “It’s about Tom,” so many of Luann’s most iconic RHONY moments happened on the cast trips. Clearly, Bravo realized that Luann on vacation is comedy gold. Why else would she be featured on both RHONY: Legacy and Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake?
Another potential RHONY cast member who could appear on Real Housewives Ultimate Road Trip is Carole Radziwill. Carole made her long-awaited Bravo return earlier this year. Since then, there were even rumors she would join the RHONY reboot cast. Those were ultimately shut down, but it showed that fans want Carole back on Bravo.
NeNe Leakes: RHOA
Another major moment at BravoCon 2025 gave loyal RHOA fans hope for a long-awaited return. When asked who was most likely to have a comeback, Andy Cohen revealed that he and NeNe Leakes text sometimes. Elsewhere at BravoCon, Bravo boss Frances Berwick said NeNe could be on a show again someday. This was incredibly promising news to the many, many RHOA viewers who want NeNe back. It’s not just viewers either. Members of the cast have also expressed their wish for her to rejoin.
There’s a reason fans got mad with Andy Cohen for leaving NeNe off his Real Housewives Mount Rushmore. NeNe was such a successful and impactful Real Housewife, she launched an acting career on the megahit Glee. Fans are still in awe of her ability to launch about seven different memes in one minute of a conversation when John bought her a Rolex. If there’s a chance NeNe would do a Real Housewives show again, some fans need her on Real Housewives Ultimate Road Trip!
Lisa Vanderpump: RHOBH
Next on my dream cast list is another former Real Housewives viewers are constantly hoping will return to their old show. Although unlike NeNe, Lisa Vanderpump has maintained a good working relationship with Bravo since she left Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. After all, she gave the network another big hit with Vanderpump Rules, which is set to debut a reboot soon.
But fans sorely miss Lisa in her Real Housewives element. Like NeNe, and the rest of the names of this list, Lisa belongs on a Real Housewives Mount Rushmore. During her time on RHOBH, she was the queen of taglines and shade. Lisa also provided the glamorous, envy-worthy lifestyle fans want from this show. Years later, Villa Rosa is still many viewers’ pick for the best Real Housewives homes they’d love to live in. I would love to see Lisa interact more with Real Housewives legends from other cities. And it’s fun to imagine the clash of her prim and proper persona with a road trip presumably in an RV.
Teresa Giudice: RHONJ
Again, I am only going with the biggest legends in this dream cast! When you ask the average person to think of a Real Housewife, they’d probably think of Teresa Giudice. Her table flip in RHONJ Season 1 is arguably the most iconic Real Housewives moment ever. They even stopped filming RHONJ to accommodate her jail time.
However, it’s been a while since Teresa appeared on reality TV. The fate of RHONJ is still in limbo. Even Teresa’s much-awaited reunion with brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga reportedly didn’t move the needle on RHONJ’s return. Since we’re not getting an update on RHONJ anytime soon, let’s get Teresa back in her element and cast her on the latest crossover series. You know Teresa would provide plenty of drama to make this road trip exciting!
