From her first bridal outfit to her various antics on TV, Scheana Shay is the gift that keeps on giving. Even though she no longer stars on Vanderpump Rules, people still poke fun at Scheana, wondering how she might be faring whenever one of her former costars scores a win in the entertainment industry. So, it’s no wonder that her fans recently heard a joke on Season 2 of Running Point and immediately suspected that it might be about Sheana. Spoiler alert: this joke had everything to do with Dancing with the Stars.
Scheana Shay has been open about wanting a spot on DWTS
Scheana’s fans can attest to one thing: back in the day, Scheana desperately wanted to star on Dancing with the Stars. So, when that honor went to Ariana Madix instead, Scheana felt bummed. “It was kind of a punch to the gut, for sure,” she admitted. “[Ariana] has come such a long way from being my backup dancer,” she further sassed in her confessional.
So, what does that have to do with Running Point?. Well, during Season 2, which premiered last night, Kate Hudson’s character visited Ken Marino’s character at a ballroom dance class. As Ken’s character explained, “I really want to win Dancing With the Stars.” When Kate asked if they had even cast him for this series, he replied, “No. But if and when they call, I want to be ready.”
Certain fans heard Scheana in this line. So, US Weekly asked Ken if it was (hashtag) all about Scheana. In response, Ken laughed and admitted, “I don’t know.” But, he added, she might have inspired “the writers.”
Meanwhile, Scheana has since moved on from DWTS. These days, she has her sights set on The Traitors instead.
