Just when you thought you had fully recovered from hearing the phrase “incestuous teeth,” here comes the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast with another series of insults that might permanently rewire your brain. After this week’s episode, we’ll never look at a bag of Chili Cheese Fritos the same.

Last week on RHOA, the ladies arrived in Dallas for Cynthia’s tequila-soaked girls trip, but things immediately turned sour when Kelli and Shamea got upset over their room assignments. Pinky then took things a step further by getting into an insane read-off with Angela.

The jury is still out on who won that argument, but either way, everyone was feeling the aftermath of the chaos in The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 Episode 6 “Saddle Up and Settle Scores.”

Cynthia’s Dynasty-themed Dallas trip continued, and much to her dismay, so did the complaints from Kelli and Shamea about their accommodations. Between these pool house grievances, Pinky’s intense energy, and two poorly planned excursions, Cynthia was left with no choice this week but to tap into her alter ego, 50 Cynt. Still, by the end of the episode, Porsha and Kelli wound up in an argument that left everyone’s jaws on the ground.

Pinky and Angela’s read-off left some of the ladies concerned

If we’re still buzzing from Angela and Pinky’s read-off a week after watching it on TV, you can only imagine how these women were feeling the morning after it actually happened. Drew said she hardly slept. Meanwhile, Phaedra said she felt “concerned” about Pinky’s energy. She wasn’t alone in that.

The consensus was that Pinky came in way too hot and escalated things with Angela well beyond what was necessary. Naturally, Pinky did not share those same concerns and said that it felt like a new day, and she was ready to move on from the situation. She slept like a baby.

As viewers, we can appreciate Pinky’s sentiment because heaven knows we don’t need them spending 10 episodes harping over that fight. We cannot tolerate another show with the pacing of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

But, at the same time, there seems to be a lack of self-awareness in the way Pinky navigates the group. She just met these women, and by Episode 6, she’s already annoyed the hell out of half of them. How?

With the chaos still top of mind, Cynthia announced that Day 2 would involve splitting into two groups for separate cowboy-themed excursions. She made sure to put herself in the same group as Kelli and Shamea, because they had some business to settle about that pool house situation.

This entire episode felt like Cynthia was chaperoning a field trip full of behaviorally challenged children, and it started on their bus ride to a cattle herding activity. She confronted Kelli and Shamea over their lingering concerns about staying in the pool house.

Kelli and Shamea claimed that their room was filthy upon arrival, but they kept dancing around the actual point, acting like they’d been forced to sleep in a barn somewhere off the side of the highway instead of on a sprawling luxury compound.

Cynthia had already spoken to the property owners. They were going to have it cleaned, and there wasn’t much more she could do. And yet, the complaints kept coming. Eventually, Cynthia hit her limit, because those complaints were starting to seem less like legitimate grievances and more like something else entirely. Thus, 50 Cynt clocked in.

“I’m doing the best that I can do,” Cynthia yelled, shutting down the conversation once and for all.

The change in tone worked because Shamea and Kelli shut down. In a confessional, Shamea admitted that it was her first time meeting “durag 50 Cynt.” Little did she know, there was much more where that came from.

Is there a love triangle between Drew, Blakk, and K. Michelle?

Before we even saw a single frame of RHOA Season 17, we heard that K. Michelle and Drew were having some sort of feud. Now, we’re starting to see exactly how those seeds were sown, and somehow, it all comes back to Blakk.

Drew introduced this man via FaceTime at the Mystic Island premiere party. In Episode 2, K. Michelle told Porsha and Kelli that she knew him because he had been sliding into her DMs. But in Episode 5, when Drew brought up their potential friendship, K acted like she barely knew this man existed. So what’s the tea?

On the way to a dressage demonstration with K. Michelle, Phaedra, and Angela, Porsha tried to get to the bottom of the shifting stories about Blakk. According to K, he had been living rent-free in her DMs for a long time, but she never replied to him.

As a married woman of approximately two weeks, K. Michelle no longer wants to talk about the DMs she received and feels annoyed that Drew mentioned their connection. If you’re following her logic, good for you, because it’s not an easy task.

“Drew goes to imply that I am doing something with somebody, but I’m a married woman. You’re not going to do me like your husband do you,” K remarked in a confessional.

Once K decides to take this energy out of the confessional chair and into an actual conversation with Drew, we might finally get somewhere.

50 Cynt confronted Pinky over her “aggressive” energy

After watching some cows walk down the street for thirty seconds, which, to be clear, was the actual activity Cynthia dragged them to, the group headed to a restaurant for lunch. Once they got there, 50 Cynt had to get activated all over again.

At lunch, while Pinky complained about the lack of vegan options on the restaurant’s menu, Drew and Shamea randomly decided to try to hash out their beef. They stood up in the middle of the restaurant and started going at it. Chaperone Cynthia had to tell them to sit down and use their inside voices.

With Drew and Shamea back in their high chairs, Cynthia turned her attention to Pinky and told her that she made a lot of the women “uncomfortable” during the first night. Drew chimed in and called Pinky “aggressive.”

Pinky refused to back down on how she handled things, but Cynthia would not let up. She told Pinky that she tended to hijack conversations and refused to let it continue. On the other hand, Pinky theorized that the other ladies felt “threatened” by her power.

We’re not sure if that’s accurate, but kudos to Pinky for pissing off half the cast within her first six episodes. Truly, it’s an impressive feat.

After lunch, Cynthia went home and took a well-earned nap. She had confronted Pinky, Kelli, and Shamea all in a day’s work. Cheekbones needed a break.

The ladies then regrouped and headed out for what looked, briefly, like it might be a normal night. Kelli and Shamea were in better spirits now that the pool house had been cleaned. Cynthia was relieved. The energy felt manageable, right up until Kelli and Porsha started rehashing the sleeping-with-married-men accusations that have been simmering all season.

Porsha had previously confronted Kelli with an accusation about sleeping with a married man during the weekend of the BET Awards. She brought it up again during this fight, this time in front of the whole group.

Kelli came back swinging—hard. She, once again, accused Porsha of sleeping with married men. This time, she took things 10 steps too far and listed her time with R. Kelly as an example. Gross.

It felt impossible to focus on anything after hearing R. Kelly’s name mentioned, but the fight kept going, and so did the wild accusations. Just before the credits rolled, Porsha accused Kelli of trying to “scissor” her. Of course, we’ve been down this road with Porsha in the past, but Kelli’s retort certainly took us to new territory.

Kelli replied, “Girl, that motherf*cking hot Chili Cheese Frito pussy? I don’t want to scissor you!”
