Jennifer Aydin Talks RHONJ Exit and New Podcast

Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Jennifer Aydin is moving on from the show. She was a cast member for six seasons before calling it quits. Apparently, the continuing pause was too much for Jennifer.

Of course, Jennifer’s chance of obtaining a spot on Season 15 RHONJ was potentially damaged by her Jersey Mike’s meltdown last New Year’s Day. She made a video of her tantrum and posted it, but the fans didn’t side with her. Even Andy Cohen wasn’t pleased with Jennifer’s actions.

“How are you gonna cause so much trouble for yourself?” Andy asked during his SiriusXM radio show.

Recently, Jennifer launched her new podcast, TV Gold. “It’s the one good takeaway from [Real] Housewives. Or maybe one of many, I should say, but definitely one that’s worth noting,” Jennifer told OK! “I walked away with some good friends. They’re really amazing.” Both Dolores Catania and Teresa Giudice attended the launch party at Jennifer’s home.

So, why did Jennifer depart RHONJ? “The whole unknown was so frustrating. You have got to read the signs,” she explained. “When people were asking me, ‘Hey, are you coming back?’ Even my family would ask me, ‘What’s the deal?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know,’ but you truly set your own destiny.”

Right now, Jennifer is focused on her podcast. “I’ve been getting ahead of myself, excited because I think I spoke about this podcast first sometime last year, and it’s really taken this long to get here. I’m glad that I was able to do something like this in my own time,” the RHONJ alum stated.

“It’s going to be an hour a week. I may do more than that eventually, but we’re going to start like slowly and see where it goes.”

Hopefully, Jennifer and her hubby, Bill Aydin, won’t have as much attention focused on their marriage.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is streaming on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in Canada, the UK and Ireland.
