It’s still expensive to be Erika Jayne. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has settled the $25 million lawsuit that threatened to upend her life. It’s one of the last remaining threads of her time with Tom Girardi, but there are still a few lingering questions. How much money did she end up having to fork over, and where in the world did she get the cash?
Erika Jayne reached a settlement just before trial was set to begin

This $25 million lawsuit was first filed back in 2021. The Girardi Keese bankruptcy trustee believed that Erika should be on the hook for the ill-gotten money that Tom allegedly funneled through her business ventures. Last month, the bankruptcy trustee sold the lawsuit to a third party for $2 million.
Of course, Erika maintained her innocence throughout all of this and had a trial scheduled for later this month. However, during a pre-trial conference on Thursday, May 21, attorneys informed the judge that “the case has settled,” according to a report from People.
Erika has settled the lawsuit with the third-party company that bought it, but unfortunately for us nosy people following along, there’s no word on how much she has to pay. We can safely assume she had to hand over between $2 million and $25 million, but the exact details remain sealed.
What we do know is that Erika previously addressed this outstanding lawsuit at the RHOBH Season 15 reunion. At the time, she admitted that she wouldn’t know what to do if she ended up being on the hook for the full $25 million.
“You can file for bankruptcy, or you can fight it out in court,” she told Andy Cohen. “You can go to trial, you can cut a deal, you can die in the streets. I have no idea.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock.
