Welcome back to your In The City recap!

In last week’s episode, Amanda officially moved out of the home she shared with Kyle, departing on a teary note over his partying antics. That wasn’t her only clash in the episode, as Amanda also went head-to-head with Danielle over “homewrecker” rumors. Meanwhile, Kenny repaired his friendship with the boys on the cast, and got in touch with his long-lost father.

So, what happened next? Here’s exactly what went down in In The City Episode 6: “Knot So Simple.”

In Episode 6 – titled: “Knot So Simple” – Yvonne and Nick officially married with Lindsay as their witness. Meanwhile, another marriage broke down as Amanda and Kyle clashed over clutter at their once-shared apartment. On a lighter note, Kenny and his long-lost dad reconnected after 25 years of separation.

Here’s how it all unfolded…

Yvonne talked timelines

While prepping for her and Nick’s legal wedding ceremony, Yvonne revealed she asked Lindsay to be their witness, something she’d previously been hesitant to do, due to her high-profile breakup from Carl.

“Obviously I know she’s over Carl, but I just feel bad sometimes, like inviting her to stuff like this,” Yvonne revealed, as Nick pointed out that Lindsay and Carl got engaged around the same time he proposed to his now-wife.

“You guys were on the same timeline and did all that stuff together,” Nick replied, as a montage of Lindsay’s Summer House bridal moments flashed on screen. “Lindsay was never like ‘Omg I’m sad that these things are still moving forward for you’,” Yvonne explained in a confessional. “She was so supportive … but I know that deep down inside, what she really wants is her person.”

Kenny caught up with his dad

After 25 years of being estranged, Kenny finally tracked down his father with the help of a private investigator … and Whitney’s social media skills. The pair then caught up on two decades of lost time over an emotional phone call. Prepare to get goosebumps.

“It’s good to hear your voice,” Kenny told his father, who clearly sounded overjoyed at finally being reunited with his long-lost son. “Thank you for trying [to find me], I really appreciate it,” his dad told him, adding: “I’m so sorry we lost so many years.”

“All that matters is that we’re here now,” Kenny replied, tearfully. Later on in the episode, Kenny flew his dad to New York City, and they finally spent time together in person. Again, prepare for goosebumps.

Danielle debriefed on Eoin’s divorce

Over wine with her mom, Danielle opened up about her relationship with Eoin and his divorce from his ex. This is something which was heavily questioned by Amanda in last week’s episode, with “homewrecker” accusations being thrown around.

“Even if it’s not true, the fact that it’s out there makes you feel awful,” Danielle told her mom of the rumors. “It feels like this really dark cloud is over our relationship.”

“I can see how into you he is, and the connection you guys have,” her mom replied reassuringly. “I’ve never seen that before with your past relationships. I see how happy you are.”

Big Daddy came to town

Amanda’s father, Frank, came to visit her new apartment in New York. Describing him as her “protector,” she even revealed he’s saved in her phone under the name Big Daddy.

While Amanda showed Frank around her new pad, Kyle tried to make their once-shared home his own. Speaking to a team of organizers, Kyle showed them piles upon piles of Amanda’s stuff. “She said two years ago, ‘I’m just putting some stuff on the bed, but don’t worry, I’m gonna move it’,” he recalled as he pointed to the bed in question … still covered in stuff.

“Kyle’s problem is the clutter,” Amanda said of exactly that to her dad, admitting that her ex wasn’t pleased she left so much stuff back there. And, to be honest, who can blame him? She moved out and didn’t take her clutter with her. Surely that calls for a clothes-over-the-balcony movie moment?

Kyle had a heart-to-heart with the boys

The boys of In The City gathered at a golf bar to catch up, and talk quickly turned to Kyle and Amanda’s trial separation … which, as viewers know, ultimately became permanent.

Kyle admitted he and Amanda hadn’t spoken since she moved out in tears, to which Kenny questioned what they’re even fighting for. “I don’t know,” Kyle replied. “It’s just scary thinking about starting over. And I’m sure she feels the same.” Don’t jinx it, pal!

Amanda spilled secrets

Kyle headed over to see Amanda’s apartment for the first time. There, he brought up the matter of the clutter she’d left behind. “The only thing I’m excited for [in this separation] is having a home again,” he told her. “And your home doesn’t include me being in it?” she replied, seemingly forgetting that the idea to move out during the trial separation was hers.

“I’m not trying to rush you out,” Kyle went on, although Amanda disagreed. “You’re already upset that in my initial move, I didn’t take enough of my stuff.”

From there, the conversation pivoted to the pair’s argument the previous week. To recap, that was about Kyle’s decision to go out partying and bring a woman back to the apartment while Amanda was sleeping. “That’s the sh*t that I can’t handle,” she said. “You had fans in our home … that’s crazy.”

The pair then butted heads over their individual stressors. Kyle confessed he “acts out” due to stress at Loverboy, while Amanda reminded him that her stress is in their marriage. “You don’t give a f*ck that the business I’ve worked tirelessly for is in debt,” he went on. To that, she rebutted that he’d been misbehaving too much in their marriage – including an occasion of alleged infidelity, which she had never revealed before – for her to care.

“It’s hard to put the past behind us when you keep doing the same sh*t,” she said. “My fear is that you’re not capable of doing what I need from you.”

In The City continues on Tuesdays at 9 PM ET/PT on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
