Welcome back to your In The City recap!

In last week’s episode, Yvonne and Nick made their nuptials official with Lindsay as a witness, while Amanda and Kyle’s marriage continued to fall apart … surrounded by clutter. Elsewhere in the episode, Kenny reconnected with his long-lost father, and Danielle opened up to her mom about her and Eoin’s relationship.

So, what happened next? Here’s exactly what went down in In The City Episode 7: “You Only Get Married Twice.”

In Episode 7 – titled: “You Only Get Married Twice” – relationships were the main focus … but not the relationship that should have been. Danielle and Eoin faced yet more questions about his divorce, as Amanda and Kyle’s marriage unraveled even further. All of this was set against the backdrop of Yvonne and Nick’s wedding dinner party, which was a complete and utter disaster.

Here’s how it all fell apart…

Gossip was gossiped

In the opening scene of Episode 7, Gavin, Lindsay, Kyle, and Kenny met for drinks at a bar. There, Gavin unpacked a conversation he’d had the previous week about Danielle and Eoin’s relationship, which seemed to be the hot topic of the moment. “He answers questions without actually answering anything,” Gavin said of Eoin, referring to the rumored crossover between his divorce proceedings and romance with Danielle, which has prompted “homewrecker” allegations.

“[He is] evasive for sure,” Kenny replied, before offering a defense for Eoin. “But maybe if he’s going through a divorce [he doesn’t want to talk about it].” Kyle and Lindsay disagreed with that, however, arguing that they don’t want the nitty-gritty details, just “the basics.”

“If you’re trying not to draw attention, don’t be shady,” Kyle said. “He’s purposely staying surface-level.” The group then took a deep dive into Eoin’s marriage. Lindsay scoured the internet for any clues she could piece together. This included a discrepancy in the number of years he’d said he was married. “Clearly there’s something he’s trying to hide or cover up,” Kyle concluded.

Kyle sought advice from an old friend

A familiar Summer House face (see: Carl) made a guest appearance in Episode 7 to support Kyle in his ongoing “trial” separation from Amanda. At Soft Bar, Carl’s recent business venture, the long-time friends unpacked how things were going since Amanda moved out of the apartment she and Kyle once shared.

“The thing that keeps me up at night is me not being able to answer the question of ‘Am I still in love with her?'” Kyle confessed. “I’m fighting for it,” he added of the relationship. To that, Carl questioned whether the couple had even been happy enough in their marriage to try and save it.

“Whatever happens, the world will not end,” Carl said, using his and Lindsay’s difficult split as a reference point. “You can get through that,” he reassured his friend.

Lindsay and Kenny bonded over their family struggles

Moving on from their previous clashes, Lindsay and Kenny caught up over a one-on-one dinner to discuss the similar difficulties they’d had with their parents. As viewers learned in last week’s episode, Kenny reconnected with his dad after more than two decades apart, while fans of Summer House already know that Lindsay has had a strained relationship with her mom since her early 20s.

In an emotional moment, Lindsay reflected on the difficult bond she had with her mom growing up and how she thinks this has impacted her relationships in adulthood. “I think I choose partners that weren’t necessarily healthy for me,” she said, summarising that most of her romantic relationships have ended with her being “abandoned.” This is a pattern that Kenny related to as well. He recalled how he would push partners away as a “test” to see if they would stick around.

Yvonne and Danielle had a wardrobe disaster

Following their 2024 wedding in Mexico and their New York courthouse moment in last week’s episode, Yvonne and Nick hosted a dinner party to celebrate. What started as a cheerful occasion quickly devolved into chaos, however … perhaps giving Yvonne and Nick an excuse to host a wedding 4.0 in the future.

It all kicked off when Danielle arrived in a questionably colored dress, which she adamantly described as pink. “Is this girl okay?” Yvonne said in a confessional, accusing Danielle of breaking wedding guest rule number one: don’t wear white. “I know you want to get married, but this is not your wedding; this is not your night. I’m the bride; did you forget that?”

Later on, as the group ate dinner, Yvonne raised the topic of “people who showed up wearing a white dress.” And, by people, she was clearly referring to Danielle. “Are you talking about me, b*tch?” Danielle replied, prompting a visceral reaction from everyone around the table, many of whom clearly wished they could hide under it.

“Are you calling me a b*tch at my own wedding?” Yvonne replied. Things got even more awkward when Danielle revealed she had shown Yvonne a photo of the dress to get her approval before attending. This further divided the group’s opinion on the topic. Ultimately, Danielle apologized for calling Yvonne a “b*tch,” but the bride’s reactive facial expression was one of very little acceptance.

Yvonne and Nick’s relationship should have been the center of attention at their wedding dinner, but the breakdown of Amanda and Kyle’s marriage became a focus instead. Gavin commented on Amanda’s weed-smoking habit, which he suggested was one of the main reasons the couple struggled to connect. To that, Amanda argued that Kyle’s drinking was more of an issue, referring to the rumor that he had previously cheated on her after a night of partying. “I only smoke weed to go to sleep,” she said in comparison.

This sparked a big debate amongst the group. The women of In The City largely backed Amanda’s point of view, while the men sided with Kyle. One person who (rightfully!) didn’t want any part of the conversation, however, was Yvonne. “This is my wedding,” she said in despair. Unfortunately for Yvonne (but fortunately for viewers), the drama only ramped up further. “I’m so over everybody fighting at this dinner table,” she continued, before walking off.

Bride and groom, who?

Continuing the theme of celebrating Yvonne and Nick’s marriage (not!), the group dug even deeper into Amanda and Kyle’s. After being put on the spot, the pair admitted that while they “still have a lot of love” for each other, they were not “in love” at that moment.

Clearly, other members of the In The City cast weren’t loving each other either. For example, Danielle criticized Gavin for having too much of an opinion on a scenario he’d never been in himself. “I love you guys dearly, but with all due respect, you need to stay the f*ck out of this,” Amanda said, addressing everyone who had so far been involved in the argument. On the other side of the table, meanwhile, Lindsay burst into tears. She then explained the topic of conversation had brought up difficult feelings about the breakdown of her own relationships.

Despite several attempts to salvage the celebrations, attention turned to another relationship. But, again, not the bride and groom’s. Danielle accused Lindsay of trying to dig up dirt on Eoin’s divorce. “Everything is always blamed on me,” Lindsay replied, urging others to speak up about their role in the rumor mill. Within minutes, everyone was talking over each other to give their side of the story … aside from Yvonne and Nick, who were stunned into silence over how their night of celebration had devolved into such disaster.

Drama and divorce for dessert

As the group discussed the “secrecy” surrounding Danielle and Eoin’s relationship timeline, Lindsay queried why the pair signed up to In The City if they didn’t want to share details about their life. “Why are you on the f*cking show?” Lindsay shouted at her former bestie. “Oh, that’s what all of this is about,” Danielle replied. “You hate that I’m here [on the cast].”

“Is there anything we can do to make this about me and Nick?” Yvonne pleaded. At the same time, Nick banged his fists on the table to try and get the group’s attention. Spoiler alert: the chaos continued to chaos.

To finally end the group’s speculation, Danielle and Eoin cleared up a few questions about their dating timeline. She also emphasized that his ongoing divorce proceedings meant some details needed to remain between only those actually involved (read: not the entire cast).

And, speaking of the whole cast, Kenny then invited the group on a “friendsgiving” trip. After all, nothing quite says “friends” like several hours of non-stop arguments … and what could possibly go wrong? Well, based on the preview for next week’s episode, absolutely everything and anything.

In The City continues on Tuesdays at 9 PM ET/PT on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
