RHOA Alum Peter Thomas Lands New Reality Show After Prison

Everyone knows that a prison sentence can’t stop a reality television career. Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Peter Thomas is proving that once again. He is set to start filming a new reality show following his release from prison. And this time, it looks like he’s being careful about keeping track of his taxes. You live, and you learn.

ICYMI, Peter appeared on RHOA because he was previously married to Cynthia Bailey. He first appeared on Season 3 of the show as her boyfriend. The pair were married at the end of that season at the Museum of Natural History. They divorced in 2017, though he continued to appear on the show.

And now, he’s set to make his reality television comeback. Not on RHOA, despite being on good terms with Cynthia. He has been asked to appear on a new show about rebuilding his life since being released early from prison in February. Peter served time for a tax scheme and went to prison in 2025.

According to TMZ, Peter asked the judge presiding over his criminal case about unpaid employment taxes since he isn’t out of the legal woods yet. He explained he has been approached about shooting the new reality show. In his filing, he also asked the judge for permission to travel for his restaurant work. This was granted.

Peter explained that he was quite well-known from his RHOA days, and he has amassed a large social media following as a public speaker. He has been using his platform to educate the public about the importance of paying their taxes properly.

Peter won’t be the first reality alum to return to television after prison. Other famous names who have done the same include Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, star of Dance Moms Abby Lee Miller, and Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, who went full force with a new reality show and a podcast.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
