The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley has had a lot on her plate lately. She’s in an ongoing, financially messy divorce from PK Kemsley. She’s also added “author” to her résumé with the recent release of her memoir, Unburdened.
In the book, Dorit opens up about her marriage, her family, and some of the biggest moments that have shaped her life.
Now, her memoir is making headlines for another reason after a Bravo fan claimed they found a copy sitting in a neighborhood Little Free Library just weeks after it hit shelves.
The RHOBH star recently released her memoir Unburdened
A Reddit user shared a photo in the Bravo Real Housewives subreddit last week. In it, a copy of Unburdened sits front and center inside a neighborhood “Little Free Library.” They captioned it, “Guess my neighbor couldn’t be burdened with this anymore.”
Dorit’s memoir just hit shelves last month. Ahead of its release, she promoted the book heavily and described it as her opportunity to tell her story in her own words. She also revealed that only one of her castmates congratulated her after the memoir debuted, and encouraged even estranged husband PK to buy a copy.
Redditors had plenty to say after the Little Free Library photo surfaced. Some joked that the anonymous neighbor must have been riveted to have already finished the memoir, while others wondered whether finding it for free was the best way to read it.
One user laughed, “Lmfao I bet if you sent it to her she’d have no idea what a free library is and repost it.” Another quipped, “homeless not bookless,” clowning on the name of the Homeless not Toothless charity once featured on RHOBH. It was also likely a nod to Dorit’s seemingly never ending foreclosure saga.
One neighbor passing along their copy isn’t much of a statement on its own. Still, it gave Bravo fans plenty to joke about once the photo started making the rounds.
It’s unclear if Dorit will be back for next season of RHOBH to update us on the book’s performance.
