Megyn Kelly’s commentary on Meghan Markle took a sharp turn following reports of the Sussexes’ return to the UK. The former Fox News anchor reacted to Dan Wootton’s post on X with a pointed remark as reports surfaced that Meghan and Prince Harry are planning to move back to Britain.
Neither Meghan nor Harry has personally confirmed the reports. However, the BBC reportedly spoke with a Sussex spokesperson, who confirmed that the couple is planning to return to the UK.
Megyn Kelly responds to fellow journalist’s reaction to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s UK return
According to Megyn Kelly’s post on X dated August 20, 2026, she reacted to Dan Wootton’s claim about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reported return to the UK. Wootton wrote, “MEGXIT REVERSED!” while claiming that Harry and Meghan were “moving back to the UK.”
He also asked, “WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS!?” Kelly responded with a pointed remark of her own: “We’ve done our time here in America my dear friend!” Her response turned the reported move into a tongue-in-cheek exchange between the two commentators.
Meanwhile, Kelly has previously discussed Meghan and Harry’s ties to the UK on “The Megyn Kelly Show.” According to recent reports, she claimed that the Sussexes wanted Prince William and Kate Middleton’s “royal glow.”
Kelly suggested that Harry and Meghan had been watching the Waleses succeed and wanted “another chance” to prove themselves alongside the heir to the throne and Princess Catherine. Those comments were reportedly made in the context of the couple’s recent visits to the UK.
However, the latest reports about the Sussexes’ potential return provide a different picture. The BBC reportedly said that Harry and Meghan plan to relocate to a private, non-royal residence outside London. The outlet also reported that there are “no current plans” for either Sussex to resume working royal duties. Still, Harry and Meghan have not personally confirmed the move.
The couple stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 before settling in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Against that backdrop, Kelly’s latest post adds another pointed reaction to the ongoing reports surrounding Meghan, Harry and their reported return to the UK.
