Jill Zarin Blames Daughter Ally Shapiro For Instagram Comment Asking Andy Cohen To Call Her For Real Housewives Spin-Off

Real Housewives of New York is responsible for putting Jill Zarin on the map. While the very wealthy housewife was already well-known on the NYC social scene, she helped start the franchise that quickly became a fan favorite. But by the end of her fourth season, Jill was at odds with all of her castmates and no longer had former bestie Bethenny Frankel in her corner.

Rumors swirled that Bethenny or even Ramona Singer got Jill axed from the show. Jill maintained that she was not only expecting the firing, but she was happy about it. Jill stated after being let go, “I am having the best time of my life. I got my happy back.” But over the years, Jill has made a habit of talking about the show and her former castmates. She even returned to the show for two brief cameos – once at her husband Bobby Zarin’s funeral. Then again at an outing with Luann de Lesseps. Jill started developing the reputation of being thirsty to get back on our screens.

When Andy Cohen recently announced RHONY would be reworked to include a legacy series of former housewives, Andy joked that Jill would be first in line. He laughed, “Jill is gonna be, like, ‘Am I getting my apple back?’” Never one to miss an opportunity, Jill commented on Bravo’s Instagram announcement by tagging Andy with a phone emoji. But now Jill is telling Page Six that it wasn’t her. Jill claimed, “I want to straighten that out. My daughter [Ally Shapiro] left that comment. I did not write that.”

She then clarified, “Although, I’m not mad that she wrote it, but I do want to set the record straight because a lot of people misinterpret that like they do a lot of things, which is like, ‘She’s so thirsty. She wants to come back. She wants an apple.’ That’s not [it] at all. My life is very full.” And that’s exactly what happened. One fan griped, “You are not needed your voice is like nails to a chalk board and your bragging is annoying.” Another added, “Sorry honey you had your chance. The show needs diversity not bringing back people who were let go.”

Jill clearly enjoyed the attention though. She quickly posted a video to her Instagram stories. In the video, she excitedly picks up the phone. The text overlay read, “POV: You’re Jill Zarin calling Andy this AM.” But despite the fun of it all, Jill admits that no one from Bravo has called her.

She maintained, “I only want to do things that are successful. I did the [original] show, it was very successful, and it hasn’t been lately. I want to be on something that’s going to work and make sense.” Which apparently is Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Jill was cast on season 2, which is scheduled to debut at the end of this year.

TELL US – DO YOU BELIEVE THAT JILL’S DAUGHTER IS THE ONE WHO LEFT THE COMMENT? WOULD JILL JUMP AT THE CHANCE TO JOIN THE LEGACY CAST? DO YOU WANT HER TO?
