Jill Zarin Slams Will Smith For Slapping Chris Rock At Oscars; Calls Will’s Apology “Too Little Too Late”

Former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin has never stopped trying to return to the show that made her famous. Jill was fired after Season 4 and began her quest to return to RHONY full-time.

Jill has gone through some major life changes since leaving the franchise. In January of 2018, her beloved husband, Bobby Zarin, lost his brave battle with cancer. Bravo cameras were rolling at his funeral as Jill and former co-star Bethenny Frankel finally reconciled. Jill found love again with fellow tennis lover Gary Brody.

Andy Cohen announced that Bravo was rebooting RHONY after a dismal Season 13. But the big news was that a new series would be created featuring former Housewives, and the working title was RHONY: Legacy.

Jill sent a message to Andy on the Bravo Instagram announcement about the franchise’s new direction. She posted a phone emoji in the comments and tagged Andy. How subtle. In the meantime, Jill will be gracing our TV screens as a cast member on Season 2 of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, which filmed at Dorinda Medley’s Blue Stone Manor in the Berkshires. I am here for it!

Of course, many Bravolebrities have been sharing their opinion about actor Will Smith slapping comedian Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars. Will stormed the stage after Chris made a joke about Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith’s baldness. Page Six reported that The Academy asked Will to leave after the incident, but Will refused. He won the Best Actor Oscar for his role in King Richard shortly after the incident.

The day after the Oscars, Will apologized via Instagram. “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong,” Will wrote. “I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be.”

Jill sounded off on Will’s behavior. “Oscar slap apology is… too little too late. Was he channeling his character? Who knows but WTF is wrong with Will Smith?” Jill tweeted. “He needed to personally apologize to Chris and not to us on IG. My face doesn’t need ice! He should be BANNED from every comedy club for life,” Jill added. Jill wasn’t shy about sharing her take.

RHONY alum Carole Radziwill also got in on the action. She tweeted, “Wtf. Will Smith got beef with @chrisrock. Real gangsta s–t.” Carole added, “And P. Diddy just saved the Night. Cool as a cucumber.”

A user then tweeted, “I’m tripping that you can assault someone on live television on stage at the Oscars and just take your seat and watch the rest of the show.” That was really uncomfortable to watch. Carole replied, “You’ve never seen a Housewife reunion.” Carole might still be traumatized from her Season 10 reunion face off with Bethenny.

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Margaret Josephs also weighed in on Twitter. “Wow so disappointed in Will Smith’s behavior tonight,” she wrote. Of course, this is an opinion from the woman who pushed Marty Caffrey, Danielle’s Staub’s ex-husband, in a pool during Season 9 of RHONJ.

And the always opinionated Kelly Dodd simply tweeted, “Was this fake?” Sadly, it is clear that it wasn’t an act, and that one incident eclipsed the entire Oscars broadcast.
