Welcome to the recap for The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19, Episode 4. The last episode ended with Shannon losing her cool with Katie. The villain of the OC is still on her apology tour, but she is gaining no traction in the friend department. This week, Heather’s party winds down with the entrance of Tamra, but not alone. It seems her plus one catches Gretchen and Slade off guard. So here’s exactly what happened on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 Episode 4, “Judge, Jury, Jenn.”
The storm has arrived
If you betray Shannon, you’re going against the Don. She is livid and is not OK with Katie‘s betrayal or ability to secretly record her while she’s flipping out. Naturally, Emily and Gina come to Shannon‘s rescue and reassure her that she is not, in fact, crazy for feeling angry. For Katie, the entire evening was a waste of a good dress, and poor Matt didn’t get a chance to finish his pig in a blanket. C’est la vie. But ever the dramatic Katie swears she never meant to hurt Shannon. But we think otherwise. Leave it to Tamra to make an entrance. On her arm is not Eddie but, in fact, Jo. Naturally, Gretchen and Slade are left feeling very uncomfortable at the turn of events.
Tamara claims that she didn’t want to go to the party alone, but viewers know better than to believe that. For those who don’t remember, Slade and Jo dated back in season one, 2006, and while it’s been a hot second since Jo has seen Slade, you know she is thanking her lucky stars that she dodged that bullet. If Gretchen is threatened by Jo, that’s her problem. But honestly, I would be a little uncomfortable too if my ex from 20 years ago waltzed into the room looking better than I did. And Tamra showing up with Slade’s ex sure doesn’t show she is trying to move forward with Gretchen. Meanwhile, Emily and Gina are munching on popcorn while mean girl Gretchen for looking like a 2003 Instagram filter. The only comic relief at this party is Terry, who is stoned. Please, Bravo gods, give us more of that.
Drop it like it’s warm
Jenn finally found the courage to ask Tamra for a meeting. Their whole debacle seems odd, and to be honest, I’m not sure how the duo got to this exact spot. Jenn is not about to forgive even after the school teacher’s talk from Heather. From the outside, it seems Ryan is the core of the issue, particularly after targeting Tamra and her children on social media.
But before the two can meet up, fans are given another glimpse into Tamra’s therapy sessions. This week, the topic of Simon and Sydney was at the forefront. And I have to say it was hard to hear Tamra’s side and her feelings of being discarded. Luckily, she has Sophia at home to lean on.
Heather holds Katie feet to the fire
After she stormed out of the party, Katie is ready to meet with Heather and Gina. But it’s not all puppies and rainbows. Before the coffee is even served, Katie is on the defense once again thanks to Tamra’s storytelling. Heather doesn’t beat around the bush and points out to Katie that she asked a blogger to publish stories about the other women, intending to hurt them. Naturally, the information came via Tammy Sue. But personally, I don’t think she is lying. Katie wants the proof and the receipts. Katie has only told consistent lies, so I doubt she will have a triumphant moment.
Jenn finds her voice
No amount of twinkle lights can keep these two ladies’ spirits high. Jenn desperately wants to know where the friendship went wrong. But she is in for a hell of an answer when Tamra notes that Ryan played a big part. Before a margarita can be sipped, the conversation takes a turn. Jenn’s condescending air triggers Tamra, and there might not be a way forward. Especially when Tamra insulates, she knows about Jenn’s cheating past. The word on the street is that there was another guy at another yoga studio that Jenn might have gotten involved with. This single white female fight is exhausting and boring. But perhaps more boring … Tamra walking away.
